Chuckie Egg! My favourite.

It was all about the Commodore 64 though.

Aah,the old BBC,what a beautiful yet powerful beast that was. It had just arrived in our school about a year or so before I left.
Trying to learn to program in BASIC,think that's what the language it used was called. Very apt indeed.

Remember the Domesday project?
Nerdboy is trying to fill me in. There are great gaps in the tale tho.

And nope, I don't remember it first time round

But now I'm remembering my first intro to computers at secondary school in about 1985 I think and it's starting to make more sense

[edit] 'nite Moppers!

Suspect that is actually a Laserdisc.

You like to pretend that you are. What kind of man refers to himself as 'lovely' anyway. :sus:

I can remember the teacher telling us that one day every home would have a computer and that they would all be able to talk to each other.
Can't recall if the word internet was ever used at the time though, I do recall being taught about what a modem was though.
Oh the age of innocence before every child had access to the worst type of pornography at their fingertips at home.

Do you remember them broadcasting code for the BBC Micro on Radio 4? A couple of minutes of bleeps and squeaks, frightening the home counties audience.

EDIT An obvious precursor to the Rave scene.

No I didn't get to hear that as was living on an English army base in Germany at the time.
But you can deffo hear the musical influence from the sounds of downloading games from the cassette player.

Right bedtime for me. Film on CH5+1 at 00.35 about a disgraced boxer sent to jail who falls foul of the prison gangs.
Sounds almost Disney like.

One of my sister was born in Dusseldorf but we lived in a place called Rheindahlen.
