My orthopedic dr dropped me, gave me my last script 2 weeks ago. I run put legitally tomorrow. Ppl on here told me to got to urgent care or e.r. with my script bottle and dr.s'referral for pain managment, and they prob will'help me out for a day or two, then i can ask for a referral for a primary care dr, bcs i dont have one. And pain managment is reviewing my papers. They wanted a ct scan but my old dr never ordered one! And when i got into my accident the hospital didnt do one. Only ct scans.

Which one do u think would be more understanding? My e.r.'sucks, its rating is a 10/30, i was there a month ago and they werent to happy. But will urgent care even do anything or just tell me to go to the e.r.

I don't know. I know you are stressed about your situation but you made quite a few threads on this topic already. We gave you the best advice we could in your last thread. I don't think there is much anyone here can do for you.

Whatever you do be wary of being labelled a drug seeker. I understand you are in pain (and feart of WDs) but honestly with the doses you were taking and the length you were taking them for your WDs will be manageable if you stock up on ibuprofen etc for the pain.

Just don't go necking a load of APAP and destroying your liver.

urgent care and the e.r. (if you find a caring compassionate dr.) should have no problem giving you a few days worth of pain meds to get you by until you can see a GP or pain management dr.

I guess that will depend on your area. I don't doubt Mrflowers, but in the last 2 places I lived the ER would for sure not do this. I got lucky with one walk in clinic (look at the other post I put in your last thread...also..I tried to PM you with some info but your box was full.)

Good luck...I know how worried you must be.

Try the urgent care or a walk in clinic. I would say 90% chance you will have better luck there than an ER.

Docs and nurses at ER are over worked and tend to down play most of their patient's ailments. And that is what urgent care and walk in clinics are there for, to take the burden off ERs and avoid people coming in who don't have real emergencies. Also ER is much more expensive, IDK if you have insurance or what, but just being breathed on in an ER is like 5x more than going to a clinic. Forget if they do any thing aside from standard blood tests, you will have a $200 bill minimum unless you have real good insurance.
