I forget what the phrase is for it. but i like to just start writing and see what comes out. this is a poem i started.

How have you felt when you fell?

Steep steps to an escalating dwell?

Now know what to do, what is not
what seemd ment for you?

Just like your death?

End eternally as a ghost
gasping for breath.

With haunted eyes and a collapsing brain,
blown by the air of an imploding drain.

kept feet on a solid ground,
walking straight on a round ground
is to be kept forever, dumb numb and
unfound.

Automatic writing?

I really like these lines:

End eternally as a ghost
gasping for breath.

The last stanza too... clever rhymes, with a strange but alluring message. And I love the fact that you end on the word 'unfound'.

Thanks. Automatic writing:) is so intiminating. I will sit down to every once in awhile and usually not start. My wife refuses to. I did this often by choice in a treatment center like 10 years ago after being clean for a few months, and got kicked with what they called post traumatic stress disorder. Mabey thats too much info but goes to prove the power of the pen to me for sure.

That's pretty much the way I do all my poetry, by automatically writing a bunch of stuff and then editing the result. Feels good.
