i like the rain-
different shades of gray plopping
from the sky and
pressing unthought schemes into the ground
crashing death into life
shrouding me
comforting me -
so,
calm and hopeful,
i wipe away the water in my eyes
and with it
the thoughts that have haunted me and
made me wrong-
I can now set forth in a new day
Confident-
But the sun resets my options
i quietly mull over what i've lost
And retreat to before
thinking that i will never feel again
until the sky opens its eyes.
