Hey everyone

I am new to posting on bluelight, although ive referred to it for drug information for years, so please bear with me.

I have been addicted to Oxycontin for about a year now, and am in desperate need to some advise. I figure I'd start with a timetable of my usage

roughly a year and a half ago i started with a 30mg roxy every once in a while. i started to like the high.

In November of last year (2009) was when the real problem started. I started using anywhere from 25-40mg of oxycontin every few days. Maybe 3 times a week. This progressed, and starting in Jan/Feb 2010 I began using every day. My method was snorting the pill. I was using 40mg a day until about April, when i upped my dosage to around 80mg a day. This went on until May, and then I began using around 100-120mg per day sniffing the pill.

I quit using the drug for 3 weeks in early June, cold turkey, but started using the pill again towards the end of June/early July. As to be expected, my tolerance is now back up to 150-200mg per day and has been since early July.
So i have been using oxy for about a year, but just recently (the past 5 months) it has gotten bad (80-200mg/day)

I have read all the horror stories about withdrawal, and even experienced it during those 2-3 weeks that i quit in early June. I have been stocking up and reading about how to quit. I have at my disposal..

20 OC 20mg
4 8mg Suboxone
4 2mg Xanax
5 10mg Valium
50 15mg mitrazapine (perscribed for sleeping issues but never took any)

I have read that all of these can be used in my road to stop using. I really want to quit. I was thinking that i should start to wein off the drug using the 20mg for 3-4 days, then start the suboxone (4mg/day for 2 days, 2mg/day for 2 days, etc) all coupled with the xanax/valium for withdrawal symptoms and the mitrazpine for sleep.

I was wondering if anyone with more knowledge than Me could help. I have listed all the stuff i have to help, and just want to know the most effective way to use these drugs to quit my addiction to oxy.

I will not become addicted to suboxone or any of the benzos, i am just trying to use them to help the withdrawals, I WANT TO QUIT PILLS THEY HAVE CONTROLLED MY LIFE

I am a college student with a girlfriend and a family who knows NOTHING about this hidden secret so getting help from a treatment center, etc is out of the question.

Anyone who thinks they can help please post, thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Al

im a college student too buddy, was hooked on opiates for 3 years. i would keep it a secret, ive lost gfs and family was about to disown me, rehab didnt work. for the last year i was strictly doing ocs and stopped all the morphine, tens, etc. i was doing about 160mg at a time and ran through god knows how much money.... only advice i can give you is every time i tried to quit without suboxone i would only stay clean for a week, then two, then a month, then two months, always relapsing even harder. I've been on suboxone since april 5. started w 4mg/day and now i take 2mg/day... i know im addicted to it and i know its going to suck but i think until your brain is in the right way of thinking again (which takes some months) and you start to HONESTLY stop wanting it suboxone is the best bet. alot of old friends talk shit to me for being on it but none of them have had any amount of clean time longer than me, so until one does Imma keep taking the subs. Hope this helps bud. DO NOT let the gf or family find out you gotta do this on your own or you are F-U-C-K-E-D!

I have been through physical withdrawal many times, the psychological addiction always brought me back to using. If you want to try and detox, first get rid of the OCs.Wait until you are a little dope-sick and then take about a half a suboxone. If you feel you need more after about 5 hours, take a few more mgs.You have enough suboxone to detox with, actually more then enough. The xanax and valium you could use at night to help you sleep.

If you can detox and stay clean, you will be one of the rarities. Most addicts can't.I couldn't,even with the best intentions and need.If you find that you can't,try and go on a suboxone program. If you keep getting high, sooner or later everyone finds out.At least on a program, you will be able to function almost normally.
