Stimulants Quitting nicotine… I’m in a loop.

What’s up everybody… I’ve been smoking/using some sort of nicotine for the last 10+ years and would love to stop. I have been able to get down to step 3 (7mg) on the patches but then I slip. Today I quit smoking again and used one step 2 (14mg) patch which made me super nauseous so I yanked it off and threw in a (4mg) lozenge (now on my 2nd of the day). They burn my lip like hell but it’s weirdly satisfying. Anyways… anybody have advice for getting of the nicotine once and for all? Peace on love y’all.

There was another thread similar to this recently where someone mentioned Cytisine, a stop-smoking/vaping/nicotining aid in pill form which is mostly fairly easy to find, although prescription in some places, very similar to varenicycline (which I have not tried) as I understand it. I'm currently on my second "cycle" of using it, so to speak, after completely quitting nicotine in all forms but then stupidly readdicting myself a few months later just coz I like to mix tobacco with weed in joints sometimes... or I did, anyway, clearly that's just not gonna work for me anymore.

Anyway, for me the effect is wild, it feels like it completely deletes any craving for nicotine in any form from the first dose. There is an advisory dosing schedule, and recommended duration of treatment, starting out at 6 x 1.5mg / day and gradually reducing over 30 days or so. I didn't stick to that exactly, just kinda took another when I noticed myself feeling a bit "off"... and obviously it doesn't make it impossible to readdict yourself later on but, I'd look into it.

Thanks for sharing that! Definitely going to dig around today and hopefully it will be something I can implement into my regime or at least add to the toolbox!
