Misc Quitting Methadone with Ibogaine -- smooth road or bumps ahead?!

I have read posts (not many, but a few) of folks attempting cessation of Methadone with the Ibogaine HCL route and having a pretty hard time after the Ibogaine wears off after a month. Curious to hear of more experiences, both smooth road and bumpy road experiences, and how these folks are faring today.

I have been on 30-50mg of methadone for the past 3 years for a severe pain dissorder called allodynia (post viral condition which has attended my CFIDS). My goal is to switch over to a short acting opiate (comparative to Methadone) such as MS contin via doctor's prescription for 6 weeks before jumping off and methadone and into the sea of Ibogaine (where you only swim for a few hours to become dry for a lifetime).

Also wondering what folks have done to obtain restful sleep after Ibogaine and how long it took before they could sleep well and naturally (am totally opposed to benzos beyond a few days in situations of acute need) without any chemical/herbal assistance.

Thanks.

I have no experience with ibogaine, but I would recommend you get (pain permitting) some form of daily exercise 30-50 minutes (if mobility is an issue, hydrotherapy has worked wonders for me) and proper nutrition.

I mean, make it like your new religion to treat your body right. Sleep. Eat. Hydrate. there's only so much you can do to ride out PAWS.

Exercise helps so much. Night and day difference.

I have heard veterans reference this "E" word so many times... EXERCISE. I say that in jest of course. Quite frankly, I think it makes complete sense and yet it is probably the hardest thing to do when you are in such a condition and your body in its sedition instinctively tells you "oh don't you dare do that you idiot, what are you trying to kill me???" And yet it is exactly what the brain and body need. A true irony I think. This is the one area where I have failed in the past in that I have not performed a single exercise because the pain and discomfort was too great. But this must be overcome or I don't think I can heal properly. Walking is good too of course (and I did that) but it is not enough to generate and kick up those endorphin facilities. It must have a certain intensity. Now it becomes necessary to ask the all important question... which form of exercise is more efficacious to such an end -- cardio or strength training? Both are of course but which one is MOST?

Yeah I know, I'm a chronic pain patient myself so I can understand how getting exercise can be different/difficult.

I am severely lacking in my cardio exercise, my pain doesn't allow for that at the moment. I've been lifting weights though, and doing as many push ups and sit ups as I can.

Sex is my favorite form of exercise.

If you have access to a swimming pool, swimming is my favorite form of exercise and is very easy on your body.

Its a total body cardio workout without the sweat or sore joints.

My friends who have used ibogaine to get off smack said that they did not get any withdrawals after using it. in my experience with using it recreationally, its a pretty intense psychedelic, so unless you have a lot of experience with other hallucinogens, id be wary of that fact. you get the weirdest visuals, and no mental or physical euphoria. good luck.

Shhh

yeah i got it from the website that must not be named

<No Sourcing> <No Price Discussion>

The plant was designed by the Creator for this very purpose I am convinced. And I have to agree, it must be administered by someone with great experience and respect with/for the plant and its power. I have spent the last two years researching it; done everything short of partaking of it. It is the real deal folks.

I'll have to look into this..I've heard great things about psychedelics and dissociatives getting people off opiates with no withdrawal..sounds to good to be true but..people are claiming it works. A friend of mine just recently claimed that taking ketamine totally eliminated her withdrawals and made for an easy and painless detox from H.

That is what I have read on most places that administer ibogaine treatment. YOu need to switch to a short acting opiate for 6 weeks or so.

I was looking into buprenorphine actually and for treatment they wanted you to have been off bupe for 2 weeks prior to treatment. For quite a large fee, they would switch you to oral morphine for 10-14 days before going into treatment. I am talking hella money though.

To anyone interested in learinng more about ibogaine treament.. there is an awesome torrent on the net that has over 10 videos about ibogaine. IOt's realy cool, there are interviews with people before and after treatment.. so you get a feel as to whether it really works or not. You can search google for iboga and *we're not here to help you pirate things off the Internet*

I don't think that last snip was necessary..he was trying to help..people are way to sensitive around here. We can talk about freely using/buying/abusing illegal drugs but can't show somebody a bloody video on the internet? One that actually provides useful information? Dumb.

The edit was necessary. We don't allow posting links to illegal downloads. Being helpful or not.

You can show a video. Not illegal downloads.

Just because it is a torrent does not mean it is illegal. As quoted in the torrent info:
This torrent may potentially and actually save peoples lifes or change them for the better. No one looses money through this torrent, no Music CDs and Cinema Movies are provided, there is no risk for you. However, seeding this will help keep this torrent alive and provide information to the people who need it.

It's filled with newspaper articles, video clips, dosing regimens, personal accounts/testimonials/ news stories-clips, pictures, basically everythign ibogaine related. The most important thing and reason I posted it was the testimonials. There are videos of people discussing the treatment prior to the procedure and after. If you are considering ibogaine treatment you will not find a better source for information.

You could not purchase the contents of this torrent if you tried... this is not pirated software or something lol. The decision is yours to make.. but did you even take a look at the link?
