Quitting love

I'm stuck in love
I'm stuck in need
No matter how bad I get treated
And how many friends leave
I can't break the bonds
I cannot leave

When I try
Or we're just not together
I'm struck bedridden
I cannot do a thing
All I want or can I do
Is lay in bed and wait

It usually ends up hurting
An abusive relationship
Getting worse as our time together increases
It almost gets me to end this unio
But when we're reunited
I remember why its so hard leave

I know I'll only end up hurt
I'm already on the way
And if we stay together
It'll be just us
And no one else
It has to end but how

Now some of you will say
You have to look out for yourself
And end this as soon as possible
Because time will only make it harder
True, but love and need are strong
Adhesives of industrial strengh

And others will say
You must follow love
Even if its not whats best
It's what will make you happy
And if its only you and the one you love
Then you don't need anybody else

But there is a problem
That's kind of sickening
This love is not a girl
Or any person for that matter
Its just a chemical
Called methamphetamine

You manage to capture the love/hate relationship which accompanies all amphetamine addicts effectively with this story. While it's clearly no solice to you to merely comprehend it, perhaps it will be useful in the longer run, when you make the break to avoid the substance all-together.

I hope you the best of luck in breaking your consciously self-destructive relationship.
