I am trying to get off of H and haven't used it in about 48hrs but I have probabaly used about 5 (4mg) Dilaudid to help with my horrible sickness. I've been shooting about a gram a day for 3 or so years. Will these other drugs help me get through this initial sickness and make me better or am I just prolonging the inevitable? Thanks for your input.

Depending on how you continue to use your Diluaudid you may just be postponing the inevitable. A smart option is to use the hydromorphone to your advantage and lessen the pain by slowly weening off (assuming you have access to more). Good luck my spencer I wish you well and a speedy recovery.

hydromorphone (dilaudid) has a shorter half life than heroin
when tapering/WDing you want stuff with a longer half life so space out your doses as much as you can. or find something with a long half life like buprenorphine.

I've come off many'a opiates and dilaudid was by far the worse followed by h.
Space your doses methadone or bupe to taper would help.
Taper taper taper... makes the process so much easier then being violently ill for however long your detoxing.
