So I was on roxicets for about a year, was doing one 30 mg a day (at night) then towards the end I found myself using more so I quit. I was surprised that my withdrawal after quitting wasn't as bad as I expected, the usual, some mild RLS and sleeping problems but what WAS HORRIBLE was the excruciating stomach burning and cramps. It lasted for so long and was really the only thing that really sucked. I, surprisingly, didn't even have really strong cravings or anything like that. I slipped today because friends came over and were drinking and I can't drink because of regular stomach problems anyway, so I decided to do one. It was really, REALLY stupid, I know, but I want to know if just doing one 30 mg tonight will set back to square one and will I have to go through everything all over again, the main thing being those HORRIBLE stomach cramps/burning? I wouldn't think it would put me back to all that but I'm really worried about it. I quit two Wednesdays ago, and tonight I did one 30 mg.

I'm guessing after 2 weeks a lot or all of your withdrawals were gone. Yeah, you fucked up, but I doubt you are at square one. At the very least you probably dropped your tolerance. You might not have withdrawals again, but you could end up having them in your head at the very least. Also, you returning back to the drug also depends on your will, if you really want to quit, if you put yourself back in a situation like that, and the big one is if you have a easy and cheap supply. Obviously it will be easier to stay good and quit if you have to go buy them for street price or some crazy price then if you have a bottle with a Doctor who will give you a refill for calling it in or coming in to see him.

The thing is, I was JUST starting to get over the stomach stuff yesterday. I just don't want to have to go through all that with my stomach again. You think I will? Sorry to be such a baby about this...

Well my stomach was the last thing to happen with withdrawal, and it was as recent as two days ago that I'd last had them. I'm just wondering if it could put me back at the stomach shit since I used two days after they began to subside...

I doubt you will experience withdrawl as intense as your initial withdrawl, however everybody is different. If you are having stomach problems loperamide always worked wonders for me when I was in opiod withdrawl in the past for stomach issues. You didn't say what kind of underlying stomach issues you had so the loperamide may not be a good idea in your case. Just take the recommended dose and you should be ok other than the mental cravings and post acute withdrawl symptoms. Stay focused if you really want to quit good luck. -556m4

I dont think you will go through withdrawals ...but like someone else here said- everyone is different. Don't let your mind get carried away.
That could be your biggest enemy here. Also, not that I think you would, but don't say "fuck it, may as well do it again today ;) What harm would one more do?", etc...
BTW, I don't think you're being a baby. You can use this experience and learn from it...

Your stomach should be fine; one pill is easier for your body to get over-than say a whole years worth of use, and opiates screwing with your GI. In other words I'm sure life after one pill will be a walk in the park. So don't do any more:)

I don't think your back to square one. Be careful that you don't fall back into your routine.

Congratulations on your progress!! It takes a lot to have the will power and commitment to stop.

So don't sell yourself short or beat yourself up.
