Quick Questions

If I took 50 mg of methadone (not on a program or anything just once) how long would I have to wait to do oxys and feel high from them?

You do not have to wait any amount of time to feel effects of oxycodone while on methadone. Methadone does not block the effects of opiates/opioids. Suboxone (specifically the naloxone in the suboxone) does. Just be careful about dosing as the half-life of methadone is 24-36 hours.

^Actually the naloxone doesn't do anything in Suboxone; it's all because of the bupe :).

I've read many many articles, experience from others here and now my own that generics sometimes do not hold up to the standards of the brand name medication here though...

They legally have to contain the same amount of drug. Very rarely do binders hinder absorption, thus many/most differences are due to placebo.

Not sure about how it works america but i've had weaker generics from abroad that were supposed to be 10mg diazepam
spose thats a moot point though if they're scripted over there their will be strict quality control

Hey, I'm going to be trying some ketamine for the first time tonight. My friends are all going to be on hash edibles and I was wondering if I should or shouldn't have an edible. Would the K experience be enhanced or dampened? For a first timer, what do you think?
Thanks

IMO k experience should first be enjoyed and familiarized without mixing other drugs, even weed. When you're comfortable wit hthe effects stanrt branching out but fora first ti e i'd stick only to the magical special K

dexidrine limitations/frequency

I would appreciate any info on dex concerning dosing.. I am using 15mg spans (all I have) to assist with energy/motivation.. I start with 2 and feel a little better than I should but very motivated.. re-dosing with 1 pill every 5-8 hours until I crash and burn. Anyways, im hoping for some insight to help me get the most from/stop wasting pills..

You're probably experiencing the effects of amphetamine tolerance. Re-dosing isn't going to make your high last any longer, it will likely get shorter every time.

I don't know how long you've been using Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) but taking a tolerance break will help out a lot. :)

thanks threat. i have been taking them for just over a week.. i understand the tolerance, but i hear people saying they taking more than one dose..do i need both ir and xr? i read more than once that people take it as they need it. is it that dex alone is insufficient/not suitable for the length of my work day 24+ hours..

maybe i should emphasise that my goal is to stay alert and motivated for as long as possible, not necessarily enjoy myself.. i read people saying they cant sleep for days, i can barely make it past 36 hours. i only take 2x 15mg to start.. still confused about re-dosing.. is it not an option with xr form only?

Your work day is 24 hours straight? Without sleep?

If you take 2x 15mg XRs that's 30mg XR which is plenty for a beginner. You can re-dose but the second dose (and each redose after that) will be less and less effective and less and less healthy. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should.

If you keep redosing over and over again, your tolerance will skyrocket.

Sleep deprivation is something that will come back and bite you sooner or later, it doesn't matter if you use amphetamines to achieve it or not. I know you're not trying to "enjoy yourself" but even so, taking 30mg daily to stay awake for 24 hours at a time and then redosing to stay awake again is a very unhealthy practice.

it definetly is.. but it is a short term practice. i do not take any meds for any reason ever so this isnt something i am comfortable with as far as polluting my body, but is necessary. i seem to remember having more success with adderral xr 2 years ago.. any idea why? maybe im just getting old. just trying to get claryification on the diminishing effects of later doses because i have been getting conflicting info.. so, just to be clear..
later doses help with energy some but not effective for trying to stay "high"
could instant release be more beneficial or no?
any other stimulant you could suggest that is better suited for my lifestyle?

Some people respond better to Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) and other people respond better to Dexedrine (which is just straight dextroamphetamine).

Later doses (assuming you're talking about doses after the first dose [redoses]) will continue you to stimulate you and keep you awake longer, but there will be less euphoria. Every time you do this, however, the level of stimulation will be decreased until a point where your body's need for sleep overpowers the stimulant effects. If you ever get to this point, you're not using stimulants safely or effectively and need to take a break.

If you're talking about using Dexedrine for long workdays, then instant release formulations will be of even less help, as they only last 3-6 hours. You would have to take them a lot more often (read: more redosing...) to get the same effect. I don't recommend using the instant releases for your purposes.

In regards to your last question, I don't think any stimulant is better suited for your lifestyle, I think you need to change your lifestyle so you get more sleep (joking, well, only partially, I know you can't change your current situation).

Caffeine is an option, although it doesn't really work for a lot of people. I would avoid using any amphetamine formulation (Adderall, Dexedrine, methamphetamine, etc) if you can. If you have to use amphetamines, use them with respect, and try to take breaks between the days you use them, this will really help prevent your tolerance from getting out of control.

That's always the best course of action. I used to work at a job that pretty much required that I use XR stimulants (usually was Dexedrine) just to keep up. Everybody else at the job was on stimulants of one kind or another and lots of caffeine/coffee was drank all day.

I had to quit that job because I ended up having panic attacks. Take care of yourself man :)

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and experience. I am committed to this routine for at least another month. If I am at 60mg 4-5 days a week now at the start.. where might you guess I would be taking in 3 weeks? Im sure that's a tricky one.. three at once seems like it would be a bit much, but I could lie to the cops and get away with it on 2. I have not yet re-dosed with 2.. I've never done hard drugs with the exception of a ton of" acid" in highschool. Strangely enough it was a lot like this shit.. that was 15 years ago.. I think that will be as much help as I need..

Hello ladies and gents! I have a question about suboxone. I am on maintenance and I am prescribed 24 mg a day. However. I only take about 8 mg a day. I asked to be switched to methadone and now my question

How long must I wait to get full recreational effects from 70 mgs methadone if I have been taking 8 mg a day of suboxone? Of course im sure all of you know why I ask about the wait BC suboxone blocks other opiates. Its been 48 hours since my last dose of 8 mg suboxone. Will the 70 mg dose of methadone break off some of the s_boxone from my opiate receptors, or shouldbi was anoher day? Thanks everyone! I am new to this site and I have had great help in my previous post.
