This is my first post, so I don't know whether it is in the right place or what have you, but if it isn't I apologize ahead of time.

I'll start by saying that I take opiates in the form of prescription painkillers around 4 or 5 times a year. So, I don't really have a tolerance. Anyway, last weekend I took 15mg hydrocodone and within an hour I felt a tingling sensation in my arms along with the usual peaceful, comforting glow in my body and mind. About 20 minutes later I took 15mg oxycodone in the form of percocets, and put on some music. I sat in bed and analyzed my high. It seemed to me that in the next 3 hours I was awake, I didn't get any higher from the oxycodone. I mean quite literally, nothing.

The next night I took 40mg hydrocodone, and felt a little dizzy and warm, nothing unpleasant, but nothing pleasant either. Is it possible that my body has that much of a "natural tolerance" to the chemicals? Mind you, I ate a meal about 4 hours before each dose.

Today I stumbled upon a few bottles of percocets, lortabs, vicodin, and valium (not taking that, strictly dope for me). Before I dose, I am wondering why I did not feel any added euphoria from 15mg oxy stacked on 15mg hydro, and why I felt no euphoria from 40mg hydro? Could any more experienced users give their opinions? I am utterly confused.:(

Maybe your tolerance is starting to kick in I know it did for me even when I wasn't doing that much at first. Maybe you just gotta take more but remember the euphoria is never going to be as good as before and sometimes its not even there. Also it depends on your body weight and maybe the food effected you? I usually never eat when I was getting high on pills but of course when it became an everyday thing I had to.

You're probably going to have to change your dosing. Then see what happens from there.

I guess next time, I'll take them on an empty stomach. It's just hard to believe that 40mg hydro had so little of an effect on me when I take opiates so rarely. So, it's hard to believe I may need 50mg+ hydro to get high without a tolerance.

I'm leaning toward the contents of my stomach played a significant role in my highs.

Yeah I think it was the food too. Usually if I ate before dosing my high wasn't that great as if I had an empty stomach. Yet you have to be careful taking pills when you do that.

^Empty stomach vs. full stomach makes a bigger difference than you would think.

Just be aware that taking a lot of pills on an empty stomach can sometimes cause nausea and other stomach upset issues just because of the sheer volume of pills you're eating.

Also, be aware of the total amount of APAP you're consuming with all those Lortabs, Vicodins and Percocets (as they all contain APAP).

I would say its cause you waited to take the oxy after the effects of the hydro kicked in. Also I would suggest 30mg of hydro to a beginner. Lastly opiates IME are a learned high

Yeah deff be aware of the APAP. When I was first starting out I wasn't thinking and didn't really care. Ended up I went to the doctors for a check up and she told me my liver enzymes were very very high but I finally got that into check.

^ its been a month since I've touched anything, but how out of wack was your liver. I should prolly get mine looked at cause I used to eat them by the fistful. O, and 5 years 500 hundred posts

Thanks for the info, I've actually used CWE for every opiate high I have ever had. I have Gilbert's Syndrome (A liver disease), which although fairly benign, isn't something I wan't to toy around with. So I avoid APAP on all occassions.

I went for normal blood work....my mother was there (when I was sixteen). Then the doctor just says your liver enzymes are really high and I was like oh shit cause you know my clueless mother was definitely questioning me after. Well I did actually talk to my doctor privately and she told me that I did damage my liver somewhat but if I stopped what I was doing that it would repair itself. She was just too worried if I did continue I could develop non repairable damage or liver disease. Remember doctors always give you the worse scenarios.

I would say get it checked out because with all the usage before there sadly has to be something going on. I hope my assumption is wrong though. Glad you're taking a break from them though I actually have been too which is really shocking for me but I'm kind of proud of myself.

I think Gilbert's Syndrome would make oral morphine much more potent by the way. It's metabolized by glucuronidation so something to watch out for.

As for why you didn't feel higher we really can't possibly answer that. It's likely a combination of tolerance, perhaps stomach contents, and most notably your own perception of the high. It's a lot more difficult to judge how high you are when building on already being high as opposed to coming up from baseline.

This type of question belongs in BDD but as there is no real answer to the question and it is merely your subjective was I high/why wasn't I high experience I'm going to close this thread.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and if you ever do try oral morphine with gilbert's please feel free to comment on it.
