(Quick Question) Can you split a blotter?

Just a quick question, with the way blotters are made it probably wouldn't work to cut one in half to take half the dose that's on it, or would that still be possible?

Yes course you can. Depending on the strength of the blotter you could have an awesome time. I've seen people split one blotter into like 3 or 4 pieces, especially the people that haven't done it before.

But isn't there only like a drop or two that could be unevenly spread?

No, they're not usually made like that, drops at a time. They can be, yes, if you can be arsed dropping onto each square with a pipette, but more commonly you'd soak the entire sheet when you lay blotters on any kinda scale, typically using very slightly more solution than the blotter will actually be able to absorb to make sure they're all evenly wet then just leaving it to dry, using a carrier like water or ethanol that will evaporate off with enough of the substance in question dissolved into a given volume of solution to give a certain dose per blotter. You'll get some variation in the exact dose of each individual square across the whole of the sheet but one half of a single square is gonna be much like the other half. No problem cutting them at all and if you half it exactly you'll get near as dammit as makes no difference a half dose. No worries.

Ya it wouldn't make much sense for a person to do drops at a time, that would be way to time consuming. They usually dip the whole sheet in a tray and let it evaporate. It should be fairly even depending if they let it dry evenly, ex: not hanging it like your hanging clothes, might cause one side to be stronger than the other.

Unless your doing candy/sugar cubes. Wouldn't want to go anywhere near a candy thats been dipped in a tray of acid lol
