Benzos Quick Question About Xanax

This should be on every single controlled substance medicine bottle: "May cause dizziness," "Do not drive or operate heavy machinery," "Abuse of this medication will result in decreased therapeutic effectiveness."

If people were going to learn just one thing on Bluelight, it should be this. A single, large dose used for recreation with benzos, amps, and opiates can permanently raise tolerance, making every future prescribed dosage not as therapeutically effective as it used to be.

Nope, it's actually not. The problem is of course the second you combine another drug into the equation it can be life and death serious, especially opioids and alcohol.
 
I guess u should never underestimate the bodies ability to develop tolerance. But that is still a scary dose, of ANY Benzo let alone xanax.
 
Im assuming u tapered off all that lot? Cold turkey with that kind of tolerance would surely end in seizure city or worse?? I have to admit to being a bit of a temazepam fiend tho, its my favourite Benzo by far.

I love temazepam, too, it's also my favorite benzo, the only one I actually find recreational, especially with some weed. However, I believe if you have the self control, you should respect your DOC (whatever it is) by saving it for occasional usage only. That way you get to enjoy it to the fullest every time due to a lower tolerance, and it's a lot more special of an experience as a rare treat, you don't lose the magic.

I personally find temazepam is best used recreationally as a once a week treat, that way only 15mg rocks my world (I tapered off of benzos a year ago), and it has a nice little afterglow the next day.
 
I completely agree, its far too respectful to use daily. And i know it gets slagged off a lot and isn't strictly a Benzo, but i also really enjoy zopiclone. I love 30mg zopiclone and some whiskey until i fall asleep, good times!
 
two words: fuck benzos. theyre only good for sleep and anxiety. they're only recreational use is to mellow out after a stimulant binge and be able to go to sleep. Tricomb put it best, they're tools not toys.
 
I basically have a rediculous tolerance to all benzos. I took 55mg of xanax on a car ride home cause my family was pissing me off. Went to sleep for a couple hours and woke up in NC. My family knew I had took that much but had no problem with me driving home. I was able to handle that much and they knew it wasn't out of the ordinary for me to get behind the wheel on even larger doses. Not advising it but some people can take more than the average bear (In my case this might literally be a bear!!!).
