Hey guys, I was just wondering, I've been doing some poppy seed tea lately, and now i fell on nice pods, the thing is i'm not exactly sure they are working, i used the recommended dose for "moderate strenght" tea.

I've told my friend who was communicating with me by msn that I was "nodding" but in fact it's only because I made up a signification for that word for myself.

I never got an accurate description of what "nodding" was

For me... it's "Being in a state where your attention seems to leave you and for brief moments you are thinking about nothing, eyes open but looking at nothing, often your eyes go crossover and often in that state you get some muscle to suddently pull or push ex: hand, fingers or feets or sometimes leg that just "jilt" but very slightly"

Is that the correct description of nodding or I just am completely off?

What would you Add/Remove to make a more accurate description of nodding?

Well, I definite nodding as when your eyes roll back up into your head and your head falls back, then you snap back into consciousness a bit, then repeat.

Nodding is more like being awake, but your eyes are closed, and you are in like a middle state that feels very euphoric, so you keep your eyes closed and embrace it.

Here are some other threads that describe it:

The Science Behind Nodding

There's a bunch more about this if you just type in "nod" or "nodding" in the search, and change the option to "search titles only."

Yeah I think of nodding as not passing about but being in a state of such warmth and bliss that you just sort of lose track of the real world and you drift off, your eyes usually close, or are barely open, sometimes your mouth hangs open, and you often lean forward. What's real wired is that I've watched people standing on the street nodding for like 30 minutes. They'll start leaning forward and you think "oh yeah noW he's gonna fall on his face"but they never do.

Side effects of nodding:burnt t-shirts/jackets/lips

Nodding is falling asleep briefly, waking back up, then falling asleep briefly again, over and over -- hence the expression "nodding off".
Its being in a half-awake half-asleep state, being very comfortable, relaxed, and tired from an opiate, but the opiate stimulates you enough as to not actually make you completely fall asleep. You might be sitting in a chair or standing in the middle of a room, slowly closing your eyes and then slowly opening them, over and over

Some of you seem to just be describing an opiate high in general, but in junkie lingo "nodding" is the act I just described.

Nodding is a wonderful, very unique effect produces only by opiates. When nodding one is falling in and out of conciousness, and is not completely lucid. There are often dreams, not quite like real dreams, but extremely pleasant and vivid and exhilerating themselves. One is not concerned with the outside world while nodding, and all anxieties fall away. It is just pleasure and contentment. Often the muscles do jerk a bit. Watch a youtube video of someone nodding, you may understand it better then. You already have experienced the joy of opiates, so nodding should be pretty comprehensible.
