1: How long after an oral dose does the respiratory deppression last? Couple of hours? (IE how long after a single oral dose can you do the same dose again)

2: How long do you find it takes for tolerance to rise, after just a few days of using i can do far far more than i could.

3: How long of daily use does it take to get WD's? once the ones i have run out i wont buy again but i do have enough for a week or so.

Thank you.

1. 3-6 hours, usually. That varies depending on individual body chemistry, etc. Oxycodone's half life is 3-4.5 hours.

2. Tolerance to oxycodone raises quite fast, but again that is variable. If you're noticing that you can use a lot more than you could when you first started, that a sure sign that your tolerance is increasing. If you want to mitigate this, time some time off from using oxycodone and/or stop increasing your dosage each time you use it.

3. If you use daily for a week straight, you will most likely have withdrawals, esp. if you are increasing your dosage throughout the week. The withdrawals will most likely not be very severe, however.

thanks, another thing, i cant seem to piss at all on it, plus ive been drinking alot of liquid so im worried about getting water poisoning or something :p

Drink a few cups of coffee or try an energy drink, Caffeine is a diuretic (sp?) so that could help.

OxyContin is very addictive, I still remember the first 5mg pill that I snorted, and will prolly remember that great feeling for the rest of my life... :\

Stick to occasional use, instead of needing a few pills every twelve hours to avoid the withdrawals. :|

I think it would take up to a month or two before you start experiencing withdrawals. I've been prescribed pain killers for over a month and when I stopped taking them for a few days for my next script to be filled I didn't feel much more than some muscle aches. When my last script was finished I started feeling the classic withdrawal symptoms, but they were mild to moderate at most. So it differs for everyone. Keep in mind I wasn't really abusing them but taking as prescribed.

Take this with a grain of salt as it's only my personal experience:

I took 10mg Oxy per day, ONCE per day (and NEVER increased the dosage) for 6 months. I stopped to take my, now fiance, on vacation and felt no withdrawals other than some very minor aches that went away in 2 days. When I say minor, I mean almost not even noticeable.

Now, 10mg even now is enough to get me feeling "good" and I used about the highest level of self control I could muster to do both of these things:

A) Never dose twice in one day
and
B) Never increase the dose

Because of that, it's the reason I've been able to get away with a light DAILY habit without going through the withdrawals.

From my experience, it seems that if you succumb to the desire to constantly do more and more, that's where it gets you. But if you find the willpower to restrict and discipline yourself, at least for me, it has been possible to "recreationally" take Oxy without becoming a full blown addict (and by that I mean using to avoid withdrawals instead of using for pleasure, huge financial implications, etc).

Then again, I've had the motivation of seeing it ruin my best friend's life.

thanks for the replys :)

My tolerance has gone up so quick with it though i can dose 40mg-50mg easily when a few days ago 20mg was my dose!

Id like to know how long i should leave between dosing to get the same europhic effects, i noticed the effects are crap if i do it too soon after.

I always wait 24 hours.

Like I said above, waiting those 24 hours after dosing to redose always ensures I get about the same euphoric high as the day before.

If you can't wait like I do, try at least 12. I'm pretty sure the Oxy has to be out of your receptors entirely until you can feel the euphoria at the same intensity again.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. :)
