Are the positive effects of GBL, like GH release, REM sleep, sexual "enhancements", negated by the prolactin release that occurs as a result of GBL. I've been wing GBL for a long time, at night, in a non-addicted fashion with the addition of pramipaxole (to take care of prolactin). Am I still getting the benefits of GBL?

Why would you not be?

Convert it to GHB for your own safety in terms of addiction, rebounds, bla bla bla.

I believe you can stop tolerance building as discussed in the NDMA thread.

Yes GBL don't give the restfull sleep of GHB! Convert it to GHB if you want some benefits. If you take GBL all nights tolerance will occur, with GHB tolerance won't occur (if you don't use GHB for recreational purpose on the day). And repeat after me "never 24/7, never never"! ;)

I would be mistaken for thinking GBL was a health supplement going by this thread.
Increases GH, better sleep, better sex, blah, blah blah. You read this tripe all the time on the internet and it's spouted in a attempt for users to justify their habits. Even if there were benefits it would be totally dose dependant and due to the euphoric nature of the drug it is in no way health promoting because no-one is satisfied with a 1.5ml dose. Dose more and more is usually the way when you are a G user so I wouldn't class this as a health supplement.
If I could take 1.5mls 3 times per week for the supposed benefits then that's great but I think you guys are kidding yourselves if you think you can abuse this shit and hope for roses at the end. It doesn't work like that. GHB is probably far more forgiving than GBL, but abusing it would still not be healthy for the individual.

Even though it was sold in health shops, and is prescribed...

GHB, when used responsibly, is one of the best in terms of high and lifestyle.

No no no, you have to write it like that mate :)

GHB (not GBL, read GHB), when used responsibly, is one of the best in terms of high and lifestyle.

Because I don't enjoy digesting 9GM of salt every night, I've opted to stick with GBL. As far as the "supposed" health benefits go, I would love to hear an explanation as to how GBL does not have the same benefits as GHB, being as one is the prodrug of the other, ergo going under the same metabolic processes. The health benefits of ghb/gbl are well documented and easily found to reference. If anyone is interested, I am more than willing to provide this research. My initial question still stands, in regards to GBL (or GHB if you'd prefer).

note: now i know someone is going to mention ingesting K-GHB, but i just don't like the idea of altering the na-/k+ cycle. Putting too much K+ in the human body, as everyone knows, disrupts muscle function (regarding contraction, specifically the cardiac system, etc)
