quick diazepam question

i'm prescribed 15mg valium a day. I saved up my daily script and popped 60mg about an hour ago. I'm also on disulfiram and omeprazole. How long will the effects last?

We're all different, for me Valium seems to last for ages, if I dosed high enough I could still feel some Anxiety relief upto 3 days later.
 
You really shouldn't be taking 60 milligrams of diazepam in one shot. On top of that omeprazole and disulfiram both decrease diazepam clearance significantly.

There's no telling how long the effects will last, as this question is specific to you. If I were to take the same amount with the same inhibitors, I would estimate about 48 hours until beginning to feel sober again.

Don't go out, stay at home, a black out is very possible. Don't take anymore diazepam, any other drugs or alcohol. Get someone to chaperone you as well, to make sure these things are prevented.
 
yeah i notice anti anxiety effects a few days after taking a large dose. I wouldn't normally take such a high dose i just have a lot going on atm. I took an omeprazole to increase the effects. So theres a chance i could blank out on this dose? Thanks for replies guys.
 
No problem.

Yes, there's a big chance you could black out, depending on your tolerance of course. I would hardly expect anyone to be tolerant to 60 milligrams of diazepam, let alone with potentiators.
 
I've been on 15mg a day for around 3 months. So i should have a bit of tolerance. I 'm not going out i'm lying in bed. I don't feel that wasted but i suppose it could take a while to kick in? So nobody could have a tolerance to 60mg? Even heavy users? Also will taking a disulfiram tomorrow morning increase the effects? Thank in advance.
 
I think that was a bit of a reckless move. You could easily lose consciousness.
Do you have a friend who can sit with you to ensure you will be alright?

It could be taking a while to kick in. Taking disulfiram tommorrow will probably boost the effects, something which I don't reccommend. Sometimes when under the effects of benzodiazepines we refuse to acknowledge that we're 'wasted'.

Some people do have monstrous tolerances, to even more than 60 milligrams, but that's some people, and not the majority. Be careful abusing your benzodiazepines, don't let yourself do it too often.
 
yeah i know it was silly, I have a lot going on atm. I just wanted to relax and forget. Yeah i have a friend but hes watching tv i'm in my bed feel sedated but nice and relaxed. I also take prozac and seroquel which i'm meant to take at bedtime is 20mg and 75mg seroquel safe to take on top of the diazepam?
 
damn even without the potentiators you might black out. have someone chill with you to make sure you dont do anything dumb.

my friend took 8 xanax bars from me while i was at work a long time ago, i told him he could have one. he didnt think he was fucked up at all and all i had to do was take one look at him. he didnt even have to open his mouth and i knew he was high.

just because you think your good, or you "just dont feel it" doesnt mean you are good and really it sounds like a typical blackout in progress, minus all the typos. i guess they will come later lol
 
dont know about the prozac but i would not take the seroquel. ive taken it and it never put me to sleep but alot of people sleep pretty soundly on that and i dont think it would be safe. ask Chromophobia on the other one
 
Instruct your friend not to let you do anything stupid, like leave the residence. Seriously, just in case. Tell him he can lock you in the room or otherwise use soft restraint measures if you try to do so or become belligerent.

You will be fine to take your recommended daily dose of fluoxetine. Take it, noms noms noms.

Quetaipine (seroquel) is a knock out drug if I've ever seen one. You don't want to take that on top of the diazepam, you'll become dysphoric, and most probably pass out.
 
Thanks guys for the replies guys yeah i don't feel wasted or feel like a blackout will happen and i will miss out the disulfiram tomorrow and my friends gone to bed and locked all doors etc. I'm going to sleep now before the typos begin. I'll prob just wake up wasted tomorrow. Yeah i dont feel high but i know benzos can fuck you up in a subtle way. Took my fluoxetine and seroquel so i'm off to bed. Thanks again ppl next time i'll stick to my prescribed dose

i've took 100mg of seroquel now i should have missed it out as it knocks me out without diazepam. I'll miss out the disulfiram tomorrow.

Your obviously blacked out if you thought it was a perfectly good idea to take the seroquel, knowing full well that it knocks you out without any other meds. Crazy
