Quick advise if possible (Heart rate) What to do?

Hi,

I've had my normal dose of ritalin for the day, nothing unusual.

I took the tiniest bit of cannabis vaporized for pain relief (something i've never taken while on ritalin) since I usually need it while trying to sleep.

My heart rates going around 160 sitting down, blood pressure somewhat low.

Anything I should do? Am I in any danger? Should I take something to bring my pulse down? Advice needed ASAP, thanks.

Major palpitations...

I would say, I think the weed has given you the old paranoia :) Don't worry about it mate ritalin as you know is a stim, therefore increases your heartrate, believe it or not but so does weed, so you shouldn't have put any strain on your heart with this drug mix, it's not like your taking uppers and downers which would put major strain on yer heart. I would say just calm down and remember that weed does that to everyone :) Happens to me all the time I hear a van outside and immediatly think it's the police coming to arrest me.

P.S I'm no doctor but I'm fairly certain that you have nothing to worry about, I used to have a smoke of weed whilst on speed (not the same indentically to ritalin but more or less) just made me very very edgy.
 
Alright cheers then, when you say uppers/downers puts strain on the heart, - so 1 valium would be a bad idea? I don't really feel paranoid at all, but they have both put my HR too high.
 
I certainly wouldn't advise it, although I highly doubt 1 valium tab would be dangerous, I wouldn't risk it and if your not feeling paranoid then I would say it's most likely the stims(Ritalin), if I could count my heartrate at the moment I would probably be the same as yours, and i've been up all night taking speed(amphetamine) My advise would be just ignore it, if you let it bother you then you'll get yourself more stressed and won't help your heartrate go down at all, put on some music go on msn do whatever most important of all don't worry about it :) ! And certainly don't take that valium tablet, I highly doubt it would kill you but theres no point in risking it. People react differently to all kinds of drugs.
 
I appreciate the advice, pulse has slowed down now without valium. Thats better....

Don't think i'll be taking them both together next time.
 
Mixing valium and ritalin is no big deal at all. That combo and similar combos are prescribed all the time. The danger comes with using uppers to allow yourself to do more of the downer then usual (coke and opiates, adderall/ritalin and alcohol, etc) as far as I'm aware
