Questions that I should already know the answer two based on my amount of LSD usage.

On new years I took three hits of really strong blotter. I had a great trip and took the doses at different times, so that I would come up slowly as I had not taken any LSD in more than six months prior.
Before the six month period I went for over a year without not tripping at least once a month. However this time I noticed that I had pretty strong jaw tension, which I've never noticed prior (not saying that it didn't happen before, its just that maybe I was oblivious to it and thought it was just mental). I've read since that if you take 500-1000mgs of magnesium before a trip you will experience no jaw tension. If anyone could explain that I would be most grateful.
Also, I have noticed that I have absolutely no desire to smoke marijuana after acid trips. Could anyone guess why that is? Before NYE I was fairly dependent on marijuana to sleep, and increase my appetite. I have not smoked since NYE, and haven't really wanted to at all.

tl;dr
1) Does magnesium make you not grind your teeth when you trip on acid?
2)Why do I have no need to smoke weed after acid trips when the day before I needed it to sleep and eat a normal amount of food?

Thanks much!

1) I've never heard of jaw-clenching during acid trips, I wouldn't start taking magnesium before every trip. Perhaps try a lower dose.

2) Maybe you're tired out from staying awake for 24 hours plus on the LSD and your body can fall asleep naturally?

lsd trips can trigger changes in a person, varying from giving up smoking (tabacco or weed) to career shifts and relationship changes. these effects might persist or they may go away within a couple of days. in my experience, following acid trips i generally feel cleansed and like the state that i am in. i am usually a more concentrated person, more focused on my life goals. so perhaps you should enjoy the state you are in?

jaw tension is something that rarely happens with acid, but i suppose magnesium might help, especially if you believe it will. just take a lower dose at first, i get the feeling 1g is quite a lot. also, you can take it during the trip to see if it helps, so no need to preload with it...

cheers!

Some people may get muscle tension with LSD, while others do not. Also it may vary from experience to experience, even with the same batch of LSD (so we can at least skip over the "you got dox!" assumption) depending on diet and other metabolic factors (some foods are high in magnesium naturally).

I actually get a minor jaw-clenching with LSD, but it's very minor.

Yes, magnesium helps for that, but with a good source of magnesium (e.g. magnesium citrate, not the crap you buy at grocery stores with almost no bioavailability) you definitely don't need 1 gram. That amount would actually impact the trip itself, as such a high dose of magnesium would indeed reduce muscle tension, jaw-clenching, decrease blood pressure and even pulse but will make you sedated too. 300 mg would be enough.

As for you second question, after an acid trip I don't want anything psychoactive, often this effect can last for weeks.

It is probably not an accurate statement when I say strong jaw tension. I've never gotten it before with anyother drug I've taken, my jaw was slightly sore for a day and a half after.
Thank you for your answers, they are much appreciated.

I also didn't smoke for seven days after my trip, I just didn't feel it nessessary.

I've only had the jaw tension a couple of times...seems like its an adrenaline response...kinda like a roller-coaster lol. I never noticed during the trip but the day after. With LSD especially I tend to tighten my muscles even when sitting and hanging out, so it wouldn't surprise me if i over worked my jaw muscles lol. Anyone else exp that? Lol, being completely 'relaxed' tripping but still all clenched and ready to go. Weird :-)

I'm usually super aware of my body, no matter how many doses i've taken. The jaw tension was worse for me while i was on it, rather than the days after.
