Because it's toasted and "toasty" is way easier to say? It's refers to any toasted sandwich, too. Also, it's toasted, not grilled (usually) :P.

Pedant here, wrong spelling. If you're talking about a toasted sandwich that's a 'toastie'. While 'toasty' with a y is an adjective referring to being as warm as toast. Sorry I can't let these things go uncorrected. Xd

We went to war once over tea. We can go to war again over sandwiches. We have more guns than you. I'm pretty sure even the kindergarten teachers are armed with Ar-15's and a sabre. The sword is mostly ceremonial, but I'm sure you could fuck up a rowdy kindergartener with it?
