Ok, so I have a bad back and I get a script for 40 Percocet 7.5/500 about every 2 weeks, anyway I use all 40 in about 5 days and was wonderin if im takin too much, remember i do use them for pain but i do love the recreational value of them too. When im out I go about 7 days before i get a new script then still have to wait another few days before insurance will rebill for them, so my body is physically without them for about 10 days before i get a new script, with that in fact, is that enough time to recover from the prior 40 pills from them doin any long term damge to my liver? if not should i use some kind of extraction method to get rid of the APAP?
THANKS FOR ANY INFO. I CAN GET.

well ive been on them for about 4 months but just recently my tolorence has gone up. (bound to happen) ive only used this amount 40 pills in roughly 5 days for 3 scripts now. they used to last me the full 2 weeks.

Well gee, I wonder why? Perhaps you should try to have SOME degree of control over your consumption because so far you are simply burning them up and completely wasting them. All the while driving your tolerance sky high. If you're looking to get bombed, try heroin or Oxy 80's. That's just not what Percocet is for.
Anyways, unless you're drinking, you're probably not killing your liver if you're only able to binge for a few days and then have to wait several weeks to refill.

Sounds allright to me to.... do you use a combination of other opiate/apap too?
because your opiate tollerance isn't that high- 60mg a day. that's alot but not that high, I'm around 100mg a day right now - but I have been kicking dope for a little while.
I'm taken to believe that you are an adult, and most doctors don't think that their adult patients are raging drug addicts(well at least my doctors{PLURAL} don't think so) so your doc will probably up your script to something better, just as long as he thinks he is helping you. wait several months then tell him that the pill that once killed pain for 8 hours only lasts about 4 or so before your forced to take another one. And that you have been reading alot about apap and the troubles that it could cause..

In response to Technical User. lol. yes im an adult, and yes percs are the only pain killers im takin with apap. so you dont think 12 of those babies a day is bad? cause i sure know that ive grown a physical dependency for them. it sucks when im out. oh well, i guess ill have to kick em back a little so it goes down some.
now if i do go back to the doc. (which i will cause the pain is killen me) he has already mentioned flipin me over to oxycontin, i dont know much about that so i wont worry about it now. all i do know is this sucks ass cause the pain is defenantly outwaying the recreational value of taking this drug. :(

that seems strange to me. If you have chronic back pain and the doctor gives you a script every 2 weeks , then why doesn't he just give you the oxy? APAP isnt as big a deal but if you taking it every day then over time it will take a toll so I think your doctor is using poor judgement if he is planning on giving you oxy with APAP and expects you to need it for a long time. I would suggest oxycontin to him maybe 10-20mg? I'm sure its crossed his mind but I don't know why he would give you percocet for long term pain.

You have nothing 2 worry about. But realize that your not just taking them for pain but your also trying 2 get twisted on them. So expect your tolerance to build up pretty fast...
