Questions about mescaline

Ok, here's the deal: I am quite experienced with shrooms (did them about 60 times, I guess) and I find them really awesome...since I live in Holland is quite easy to get San Pedro or Peyote (they are legal around here). I've never tried them before because I'm quite carefull with using new drugs (especially psychedelic ones)...well, my questions:
Is Mescaline much 'heavier' then psilo's?
How long does a mescaline-trip usually lasts?
I've heard that the comedown kind-a sets place before the trip instead of after it (like with any other drugs). Is that true?
And if so...is it really bad?
If I would take mescaline, what would you recommend...San Pedro, Peyote? And how much?

I haven't ever taken mescaline but I read a great book about it... The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.. its all about the author taking mescaline and recalling the trip really well... interesting reading anyway if you're into psycadelics (SP?)

I haven't ever tried it but I was reading yesterday some accounts of people having taken mescaline and they reported that they were more likely to see things that weren't necessarily there like other spirits for example.
It's something that i'd be very interested in doing. Post your reports and let us know what happens!

ok...
peyote has more chems (20+) in it than sanpedro (3 or 4 alkaloids), so the trip may have a bit more "body" stuff...
& mesc can hit the stomach pretty hard, so if you chew the cactus (or sip the tea---often quite bitter for peyote, & fairly bitter & a bit "slimy" for sanpedro) over 45 minutes to an hour and a half or so, the "shock to the system" can be somewhat ameliorated...
as to the visual aspect of the trip---mesc trips seem to be more sparkling geometrics (as opposed to shrooms' "swirlingness"...)
trip duration---cactus trips (& mescaline trips) seem to run at least 10 hours, often 16 hours, and some people are seriously "buzzed" for up to 24 hours...
quantity--- peyote buttons, maybe 6-10 (remove the "tufts" if you're gonna eat them (no, they don't contain strychnine, but some people may have stomach irritation...)---if you're gonna extract or drink tea (w/lemon?) don't bother... & sanpedro (or other Tricho. spp.), well qauntity could vary from a few inches (say 10 cm) up to two feet or more (70 cm+), depending on species, strain, growing conditions, etc...
& extraction(s) can vary from tea to tincture to tar to brown crystal matrix to sprarkling white needles...
if you purchase live plants, either genus could be carefully harvested so as to leave the plant alive and ready to regrow itself for future utilization...
