I am trying to break the time release for my Vyvanse but idk how:(
Some people told me if you get Protease and/or Tryptone you can some how break the time release (or at least make it faster of a feeling). Does anyone know anything about this? And if so how would I make my vyvanse non time release with the Protease and Tryptone (I have both)

Thanks you soooo much for anyone who answers :]

There is not a thing you can to to speed up the process of converting a pro drug to an amphetamine. You can make 2000 threads a day, and still have to wait for your body to metabolize that drug.

This is coming from someone who is prescribed Vyvanse.

Honestly, stop making these threads. Take a bunch of the enzymes, take your daily vyvanse dose, and tell us what happens.

You've got to admit this is funny shit given that the OP started out trying to convince us that he wanted to "break the time release" because he didn't like way the drug made him feel...

omg lol that really is the reason! I hate amphetamines (besides ex). I hate the way they make me feel and I just want that feeling during school to concentrate, and then I want it to be over :[. But my doctor won't put me on Dexedrine becuase of my history of abusing drugs

Step 1: Empty the contents of X OTC pancreatin capsules into 500 ml of Fiji water. [Fiji is known for having a pH of around 7.5 this is necessary for the trypsin to function properly]
Step 2: Slowly heat the enzyme-water to 100 degrees F.
Step 3: Remove the water from the heating source, and empty the contents of one 70 mg Vyvanse capsule into the enzyme-water, and stir for about 5 minutes, monitoring temperature so that it does not drop under 95 degrees F.
Step 4: Heat the water slowly again, continuing to stir until the water reaches a slow boil. This is to speed up the activity of the trypsin, which has been observed to increase until about 170 degrees Fahrenheit, when the enzymes denature. Simply put -- increasing the temperature will cause the trypsin to hydrolyze faster, until they denature. It has been suggested that active trypsin can break down proteins in the esophagus, so this step is necessary to ensure that the enzymes are inactive if they are consumed. This also allows for a higher amount of enzyme to be combined with the Vyvanse in the water.
Step 5: Cool the mixture to whatever temperature is preferred, and enjoy.

I just found that and tried it. Anyone know if it works?

If you had read through the thread there was a link to the vyvanse patent/clinical studies that showed insignifcant results when attempts were made to cleave the protien with OTC enzymes. Shire hasnt specifically stated the exact method/which enzymes that allows Vyvanse to be broken down and metabolized. The only way your going to learn how to break the time release, if its even possible, will require you to apply for a chemistry position at shire. Since you dont want the medicine to work longer than the time that your in school, take it as early as you can. Taking less will also shorten the duration. Higher than perecribed doses for more than a few days is a waste of the meds IMO

Then why the hell are you taking Vyvanse?

There's my answer

You do realise that even if you can find a way to get the drug to release quicker, that's not going to significantly shorten its 12 hour half-life.

And it's probably not a great idea to be conducting your experiments when you're still under the influence of 25-30mg of klonopin.

Why not just tell your doctor that it lasts too long if you think it lasts too long? It happens to be especially long-acting. There are plenty of other shorter acting ADD meds out there.

He mentioned in one of his many threads about this that his doc won't give him any of the instant release versions because he has a history of abusing them (he also abuses his klonopin).

If you've taken 25-30mg of Kpin thats not good. I have a massive Kpin tolerance, and can go through 75 in a couple days, but umm eh..

Anyway, theres a problem in what you are calling this, it's not really breaking the "time release". Drugs with time release structures include the TimeRX structure, oxys, concerta, With this what you really need to do is increase the elimination time or half life, although chances are you won't be able to do either.

If all the drug hits you at once, its still going to take about the same amount of time to pass through you.

.

Lol I know this but saying time release is faster and easier...and while technically it's not a time release it basically is x]
Thanks for the answer bro appreciate it....now can you answer this haha

Do you know if these steps work? I have been doing it daily and want to know if I have being wasting my time (and money) lol. IDC about FULLY breaking the "time release" (<--haha sorry for calling it that.) but I just want me to hit me faster :[ grr I hate Vyvanse dumb ass doc wont put me on ADDYS!:[[
