Questions about brand name Ritalin and generics

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows why Brand name Ritalin is SO much better than generic?

I can't stand the generic crap. Its speedy and just makes my heart race. By contrast Ritalin LA40 doesn't make be feel like I drank too much coffee. It has a mood elevating affect on me.
Supposedly the generics are supposed to be the same as the brand, however I adamantly say that the generics are far inferior.

What I would really like to know is what is the chemical difference between the two? What chemicals are being released by my brain when I take brand name as opposed to generic?

I've asked several doctors and no one has an answer.
