It seems like you only want to listen to the people who advocate you to seek out benzodiazepines from other doctors. Listen, you have to be really careful with benzos. You may have anxiety now but the anxiety you could experience if you became dependent on benzos will be so much worse that you wish you never even touched a benzo in the first place... a lot of people who get dependent on benzos feel the same way... just read the different web forums about people trying to get off of benzos. At first they work great but the problem is dependence creeps up really quickly, sometimes without you even realizing, thereby making your anxiety even worse. Then you end up having to LIVE by taking a pill ALL the time otherwise you'll have that horrendous benzo-dependency-increased anxiety.
Trust me, taking benzos is a vicious cycle even if using it to treat anxiety disorders. You need to be VERY careful and use your UTMOST discresion when taking them. As I said before, benzos are great for that one time as needed use but the problem is since they alleviate anxiety so damn well most people tend to want to take them all the time... and that's how dependency starts. Be very careful... have you tried SSRIs, tricyclic anti-depressants, and other psychotropic medications instead of benzos to treat your anxiety?
Seriously, even if you do see another doc to get benzos from I highly suggest you don't take them more than twice a week, if not three times a week max. This is for your best interest because trust me, benzo dependency sucks and I know first hand how much they actually increase your anxiety after using them for a while. Try CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and other forms of psychotherapy too; don't just rely on pills to relieve your anxiety because if you do you'll obviously end up dependent.
Unfortunately I've taken bad advice in the past from here and other places in the web when it comes to wanting to get a script for benzos. People told me in the past to get a benzo script and how much it is worth it to get that script. I wish I didn't take their advice and I wish I did CBT at first; because CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy aka psychotherapy) is much more effective long-term at treating and alleviating anxiety than any pill.
If you're taking benzos for recreation then that's a different story because it won't be prolonged constant use (at least it shouldn't be unless you're a fool who wants to get addicted to benzos.) Taking benzos for anxiety disorders can be very problematic and you need to tread carefully, seriously.
Also, as posted above, hydroxyzine, clonidine, guanfancine, etc are also other good options along with beta blockers if you haven't already tried them. All of these are non-addictive and don't pose a risk for dependency and increased anxiety in the long term like benzos do.
