So this is going to sound stupid, but im hoping someone has an answer. I have been taking around 5 10mg Norcos daily and recently got 60mg ER MsContins. The stupid part - before i took one i started thinking and for some reason when I was way younger I somewhat remember being given morphine while at a hospital IV and something about me being allergic to it. Now I know that this happened, but im not quite sure on the whole someone saying I was allergic to it so it got me a bit paranoid. After doing some research I am pretty certain that Morphine and hydrocodone are in the same opioid group. So my question is, if I have been fine taking 5 10mg Norcos daily, would I be fine taking the MSContins? My thought is if they are in the same family and I actually was allergic in whatever way, wouldn't I have a reaction with Norcos as well? Anyone with some knowledge who would like to give a guy some peace of mind would be greatly appreciated.

Hydros and morphine are basically two completely different drugs. They convert into different chemicals so if you had a reaction to morphine I would recommend not taking the morphine. Stick with the hydros as you know you don't have any adverse affects from them. If I'm wrong here someone please correct me.
