Misc Question on lightbulb vapes

I just tried using one for the first time vaping mdpv (and some weed).

Question is- if I don't have my mouth on the 'suckhole' and I am vaping the material in the bulb will I be losing much of the vapor?

I like the lightbulb deal cos I found I am able to precisely target the material by looking at it and putting the flame right next to it. This meant I didn't have my mouth over the blowhole. So will I be losing much of the substance...?

Plus if I left it too long would it disappear/degrade? I don't men ages but for a good few seconds while I'm holding the flame under the material.

I know hot air rises but I dunno how much is lost? It didn't seem to be much.

does it 'dissipate' or something if it cools down too much (only talking about the few seconds it takes to get a good hit)? If you left it long enough would it 'recondense' or just evaporate (not relevant to the current discussion but just interested).

I have two holes on my vape- one for the suck hole and another the 'carb'.

I keep my finger on the carb. but the gas could get out the suckhole...

Should I cover this too? If I do would there be a risk of causing too much 'buildup' without any release if both holes are covered risking blowing the bulb or something? (I'm no chemist but looking into that area in the near future :D)

So what is ideal? I would like to be able to have it away from me so I can watch the vapes rising and target the material properly...but of course lose least amount of vapes.

Hold a source of heat (lighter/ but, perrfered a candle so you dont use up all your fluid) 1 inch underneather the vape for about 10-30 second(while the top is covered). Once you see a small amount of vapore seep from underneath the weed, shake the lightbulb immidetly and, began to take a hit but, continue to light. This is the most efficent way. Sounds like youve done everything right untill there.

Hmm I get worried it will blow up if I heat it too much...

the lightbulb hits with weed are much better than doing it on tinfoil, that sucked.

Should I watch that or not to worry?

Also does it have to have a carb on or not? I put one on cos it seemed like there wasn't any suction without it but not sure now.

also how do I clean it? I have made quite a mess of the inside...

I 1st tried putting water in and swilling it out but thats left loads of condensation on the sides.

Now I had loads of weed debris in the bottom stuck with the water, and I just tried swilling it with salt now that has stuck to the condensed water >_<.
