Question on 25 mcg fentanyl patch (non-gel)

I am in chronic pain from a from a broken back and i have just started taking 25 mcg fentanyl patches (on 2nd one). The patches are about 6 mounths expired and yet aren't relieving my pain at all. Does this have anything to do with the effects of the medicine? I have been on norco 10/325 and can take about 2-3 at a time (2 is best) since I have a low tolerance I thought this would feel great but I am clearly wrong. No euphoria or anything like the norco's... Should I switch back to norco's?

This medication may simply not work as well for you as it does for many others. Talk to your doctor and perhaps, upon understanding that these patches are not relieving your pain, he will prescribe you a different medication. Different things work for different people.

if you want to get high from it, cut in five even pieces. take one piece and chew on it for 20 30 minutes. and hang on for the ride. no more then one piece at a time.............
