Question for experienced LSD users

When dosing at a show do you typically take less LSD than when you do just tripping by yourself or with a few friends? I have enjoyed several trips at my house and other private settings but never at a show before. I plan on taking a hit or two at Bassnectar next month when he comes to Red Rocks Colorado.
 
Generally less, 3-7 (average quality)tabs at home 2-3 in public. I don't like being knocked on my ass in public, but unless the tabs are strong as fuck one won't satisfy.
 
IMO it all depends on how well you can keep your shit together in a heavy psychedelic state. Some people have a hard time navigating through altered states of consciousness. To be on the safe side I would take a little less than you'd take at home.
I usually take my full dose if I'm at a festival even that means that at some point I'll have to sit down for several hours.
 
I love a good 200 mcg LSD trip in the proper setting, but a show is not that setting. 100 mcg or less.

EDIT: For the sake of HR, I strongly encourage you to take a lower-than-normal dose if it's your first time tripping at a show. It's risky to take a lot of acid in a setting you're not already comfortable tripping in.

Depends on what kind of animal you are? =D Lol, best to tread lightly and dose the same as you are accustomed to or lower just to get a feel for being around a crowd, but depending on the scene you might just prefer going balls to wall and taking more than you usually do.

My friend is a deadhead and only dosed at shows, he's taken more than a dozen drops before, so when I ask if you're an animal that's what I mean. Some people like to get spun...I've known dudes who only ate 10-strips and wouldn't dose anything lower...ever been to a fluff party with the family? 8o

Now I simply don't understand how dosing that much is healthy or beneficial mentally...

So let's just say stay safe and dose low. Bassnectar should be wicked on a hit or 2 of high quality lsd. ;)
 
I wouldn't take more than low dose. Things like MDMA or pot or beer etc are probably more enjoyable.

I don't view 200 or more mics as recreational even after many trips. Everyones different. Some people eat ten strips like candy in public.

Not to be an asshole, but bassnectars pretty lame. Skrillex too. 5 thousand people watching...one person. You couldn't even tell if there was no projectoe screens. You easily could have driven to watch a laptop. Shpongles tight tho. That whole.vibe adds to the whole downregulation more bigger flashier louder shit. Its nihlistic florscent porn basically. Shit u could probably eat more.
 
If you have a few trips under your belt at home and can handle it fine in that setting, then taking a hit or two of your average tabs in public should be fine. Just make sure you have somewhere to go/something to do after the show and someone to drive you to said destination who isn't fucked up.

Be aware though that being in a really loud environment like that around a bunch of people you don't know can get pretty intense sometimes...I have a lot of experience with LSD and i kind of got overwhelmed for a little while on 2 hits at an excision show due to the unreal amount of bass. If you think you can handle it though go for it! Bassnectar is awesome! %)

Definitely less than normal. Usually just 1 tab. I wouldn't take more than 2 or 3. Make sure you have a trip sitter. Enjoy the show man.
 
I don't think I'd ever take more than 150mcg in a public area. 150mcg is my 'sweet spot', and I have taken more with friends at home, but I wouldn't take more than that in a public setting.

If you're inexperienced I'd definitely take less than what you normally do. I find a comfortable dosage to be 100-125mcg in public settings, but it can be underwhelming sometimes if you're accustomed to higher dosages. It's a whole different experience than being at home and things can get intense, overwhelming, and even scary if you don't know what you're doing.
 
To each their own but I think it's inaccurate to call bassnectar "lame". I love a huge variety of music in addition to bassnectar. In regard to his light shows/ LEDs I would enjoy the show just as much even if it was a plain wall behind him. His music is some of the most diverse, creative sounds around right now, and he's been at it for over 15 years. Bands are awesome and all but until a group of people playing instruments can produce the sound that bassnectar does I think he deserves some respect as producer and DJ whether or not he's your style of music. Although I do agree with you on Skrillex though, he hasn't evolved at all since he started brostep.
 
I've been to several shows including 6 Bassnectar shows. I only smoked and rolled at them though, which were all amazing times.
 
I'm so over Bassnectar. All hype.

Skrillex's sound is pretty abrasive and I don't really like it but at least he's a real artist. I think he deserves his hype because he has a lot of that raw musical talent. But it still baffles me that so many people like his sound, it seems so nasty and harsh.
