Question for DMT users/extractors

So this is a random thread, but trying to get input on something I seem to be having a problem with. NN-DMT was basically my first psychedelic. Tried it right after I turned 18 two years ago in the Fall. This was 3 months after I started smoking Cannabis (Had ADD through my High School years and didn't really like pot.) A few months before I had mushrooms but it wasn't as intense as I expected. So after my first DMT experience I absolutely fell in love with it. I randomly stumbled upon it because some random kid had it and invited me over to do it with him. (I knew a friend of his.) The summer later I was doing DMT at least 7 times a day for about 2 months. Again, loved it not a single bad experience. But I have two questions, well three sorta.

1. Does anyone have a lot of DMT use feel like other compounds just don't cut it? I mean I've tried LSD, old blends of spice (Pretty sure they contained some AM or JWH RC.), DXM and Shrooms. But nothing seems to hold a candle to it. Anyone have experience with RCs that seem to be as intense and spiritual as NN-DMT? I'm a huge visual person. Even 25I-NBOMe after my first use seemed 'weak'. But I'm going to give it another shot, without staggered doses.

2. Easiest extraction method. I seem them everywhere, with mixed results. I was gonna synthesize a batch last Summer, but Mimosa Hostillis became illegal in the US apparently right after. So I never got around to it. But now I'm reading about extracting it from Acacia Confusa Root bark. Yields aren't as great but I have a US supplier, which makes things easier. Do you think DMT extraction would be considered 'kitchen chemistry'. I have very little knowledge of Chemistry but I'm not 'dumb'. I can measure things out and follow simple instructions. Think it would be an easy task? Could it be done on the first attempt? Or is it something you really need to get a hang of? DMT is not available in my area until my friend gets home from school. He charges 80 a gram for me, which is great but I'd like to synthesize my own product.

3. Random question, anyone notice if you smoke a lot of DMT you don't really trip, you sorta black out and come out confused? I know theres a tolerance but it diminishes after 20-45 minutes. I tried DMT a few months after the summer with a great trip. But in the Summer after say ~120 uses I wasn't really tripping. Just massive confusion and wat.

If anyone could answer one of these that'd be great. Look forward to hearing your responses.

1. No, the other way round: DMT is just very amazing to me, indeed more so than virtually every other psychedelic - in general effects and spiritual effects, but I am quite satisfied with other psychedelics even if they are less full-on.

2. Refer to the DMT extraction thread for things like this. STB is less steps so it is the easiest. A/B extraction is a little more work but can give a cleaner product. Although freeze precipitation / recrystallization can solve most issues regarding purity.

3. Never experienced it but heard about this blackout effect with overdoses. Not sure why this happens but I guess it is a way for your CNS to protect itself from overload.

I changed the thread title because we don't allow synthesis discussion here, and I am positive you meant extraction instead of synthesis.

Hmm, I was upping my doses around the time when this was happening too. As for the extraction, I'm thinking about using the method: http://www.psychonaut.com/ayahuasca-dmt/36008-how-extract-dmt-easy-low-cost-way.html
Would you recomend it? Gonna look for it through the extraction thread. But it seems like the base for every extraction method.

The need to defat depends on what kind of plant source you will be using. Letting it sit overnight is not something I ever did, instead I just basically made a brew by heating. I guess giving it more time and less heat can prevent breakdown of DMT although in the plant it is in the much more stable tannate form.

Following that is indeed pretty straightforward extraction of the freebase form using a non-polar solvent, the most commonly used is naphtha yes.

Just check the DMT Nexus and that DMT Extraction Thread (its in our Index), you will see that indeed you are right that it is the base for every extraction method and what varies most is the chosen pH values and corresponding quantities of acids and bases used as well as the exact type of acid or base that people use. Muriatic acid and lye are probably the most standard kinds I can imagine.

1. no, but i have used almost all other drugs before i first tried dmt. still the one that has made the most profound impression on me is lsd. have you tried mdma? that one can also be a eye-opener and it's not a classical psychedelic, of which dmt is surely among the top 3 if not the best.

2. dmt extraction is about as "kitchen chemistry" as it can get (except turning gbl into ghb). if you follow instructions you should be fine, but i highly reccomend reading up on the chemistry involved and the properties of all of the chemicals you'd use. the more you know, the better your knowlegde, the better your purity, yield, and most important of all your safety (as an added bonus you'll also waste less of your time).

3. a friend has blacked out on dmt twice, but i have no personal experience.

btw: dmt freebase is alkaline and definitely not good for your lungs and respiratory tract (i say that as a heavy smoker). and dmt also is a 5-ht2b agonist, which is no absolutely no problem with occasional use (especially due to its short half-life), but using daily for extended periods of time could probably lead to cardiac valve fibrosis. afaik there are no known cases with dmt, but i'd better be safe then sorry. after all 7 times daily for months isn't a usage pattern you see often with dmt.
