Question Concerning Codeine phophate + Phenegran (1st time usage)

So I got hold of some Codeine phosphate tablets and just dropped 6*30mg = 180mg

Now for some reason my GP gave me Phenegran tablets of 10mg tablets, now out of general interest I googled it and it's known as Promethazine, which I know is an active ingredient in sizzurp and makes codeine more potent...
Am I correct in my assumption?

Now...can I mix them? Dossage? i looked over some threads but most are on codeine alone.

I have already taken 6 Codeine tablets and feeling really chilled, different from weed, this is my 1st time using it, and also any type of opiate.

Any suggestions and corrections are welcome.

Promethazine is a 1st generation antihistamine usually prescribed for sleep (it is sedating), motion sickness or allergies. It is combined with codeine in syrups mostly to counteract the itchiness and nausea caused by the codeine.

It potentiates codeine in that it increases the sedation and some people feel it increases the overall effects; it also stops the itching as it is an antihisamine, and codeine can cause quite a big histamine release!

As it is a sedating antihismatine - expect to feel more sedated. I'd only take 10mg to be honest - high doses can cause delirium which is unpleasant!

Ahhh make more sense now to take it together, get 2 possitive effects, less itching and a "stronger" high.

So in total 1st time ever taking the following two drugs.
180mg of codeine phosphate
10mg of Phenegran

Is in my system now, at 1st i felt a new type of "high" 10 minutes into it, generally very relaxed, heavy...my vission is also quite strange, glare from lamps and other applications is elevated
now at approx. 35 mins into it my system feels generally "normal", i feel normal again.
The only trace/feeling i have left is a small itch

now i allso read up that taking more tablets of codeine without w8ing 4 hours will just cause an intense itch is that correct?

Anyway, interesting drug, short effect and not very intense, weed hits me harder and for longer.
Ill post again and see if mixing it up into "lean" will have a somewhat decent effect.

^ yeah redosing codeine doesn't really work as codeine itself inhibits the enzyme needed to covert it to morphine (a little unfortunate, haha..) so you need to wait until the codeine is out of your system. 4 hours isnt long enough IMO. Although there is some controversy now about whether morphine really is responsible for for opioid effects, it could be a different metabolite, codeine-6-glucoronide. Either way, redosing codeine doesn't seem to work and isn't worth it unfotunately..

180mg of Codeine is a relatively light dose, especially if you have any experience with opiates at all.

Promethazine is wonderful for potentiation and prevent that damn itch. As effie said, don't over-do it. My friend takes a fair bit more prometh than that, and is out of his tree for hours afterward (also does ~30mg percocet during this time in addition to whatever codeine is in the bottle).

This was my 1st time on any type of opiates, so i thought starting of on 180 should give me a mid level high
Not going to bother with "lean" as it's just part of TX Culture, maybe one day when i find my self down in the dirty south i'll try the real way of mixing "lean" not that light pink shit.

My chest felt tight and hard to breath after a dosage of 240+20mg of phenegran, it could be due to my heart not pumping enough blood through my system.

doubt it was near an OD, but it did last for 1 hour+
anyway, next time round ill try 210/10 then 240/10, if i am fine, it was the extra dose of phenegran that put me on the edge.
