Question about zolpidem

Ok so I have just been prescribed a box of 14 STILLNOX CR (zolpidem tartrate) 12.5mg tablets, says on the packet they are 'modified-release tablets'. They are smallish, blue tablets. Now I have never used zolpidem before but have read various reports on erowid and bluelight etc so I have a faint idea of what to expect, my question is how best to take these for maximum recreational use seeming as they are modified. Chew, swallow? What dose would be good for a start as well?

Also, I have some 200mg tramadol sustained release tablets, will these go down well with the stilnox? I get a much better buzz of these than regular tramadol ;)

As far as what to expect, depth perception is usually altered when you stay awake on the pills. Like walking down stairs may be more difficult, and shadowed areas may seem "deeper". Also, you will most likely not remember a portion of the time. If you stay awake for a couple of hours, then you may not remember an hour, and will likely do weird stuff. Stay away from vehicles.

Stay awake from vehicles is right. Try chewing 4 tablets (7 always did it for me but I had a tolerance) and you should experience the trippy effects if you can stay awake. I can't really explain how I feel when I abuse them. I feel almost as if there is always a stranger right behind me telling me what to do. Melting floor & wall. Big then small. Doing weird things and forgetting about them.

Chew and stay awake. Amount? Varies person to person. K'd Out suggests 4 (and uses 7 for recreation) so I'd say start small. Try 4! Better not to overshoot the first time you try it. This way you'll know how much to take next time.

Check out Trip Reports of search the substance (in search bar) for more experiences in detail. The posts above give a pretty good description (of possible outcomes).

*No, I wouldn't mix - at least not the first time you try the zolpidem. Make sure you know what it's like on its own first (this is my general rule, at least).

did 4 tablets last night (50mg), really strange drug isn't it? within 30 minutes, i was actually not tired at all yet extremely stimulated, like i could have ran a marathon. possibly the tramadol helping with that

Assuming you're trying to "trip out" from the Ambien [since that's the only type of "high" you can get from it], I'd say either do what the first person who replied to your post said, or just swallow two of the pills that you have. You also should definitely take the pills on an empty stomach, 'cause if you don't it will take much longer for the pills to take effect, & you probably won't "trip out" from them when they do. Depending on how effective Ambien is at putting you to sleep, you might want to have some caffeine or something in your system to help you stay awake, so you don't fall asleep from them before you "trip out" from them.
