question about vivitrol

I am on the vivitrol shot but i am having terrible migraines. The doc will usually give me a shot of demerol but my question is will this harm me. I am on the 29th day of the vivitrol. Will this be wore off enough to take a shot. Please help im in terrible pain and dont know what to do.

It wont harm you. Worst case is it just wont work because of the vivitrol

Ok thanks alot i was worried it may hurt me because i have read about people accidently overdosing but mainly they were trying to "beat" the shot thanks so much

Tell your doctor that you're on the shot if he doesn't already know. He may give you something else in lieu of demorol.

It will almost surely not work. I had shoulder surgery about a week and a half after the 30 days vivitrol is supposed to wear off and I woke up out of anesthesia after the surgery ended in the worst pain of my life. A nerve block was the only thing that worked against my pain. It was the worst pain related experience of my life as none of the painkillers prescribed worked at all. Also barely any Drs even know what vivitrol is even if you try to explain it to them they won't understand. Fucking horrible stuff (in my own experience of being on it for 4 months).. best of luck to you though in your recovery

The odds are this is true, but we cannot know. Some people receive harm from medications at random points in their lives.

OP will have to consult her doctor.
