Question about test results

Just got one of the test kits (don't remember which one) and tested a pill yesterday with it. Instantly it turned brown, which the instructions stated was the color for meth. Within a minute, it turned dark purple, which is mdma like substance. So do these results indicate that the pill contains both meth and an mdma like substance?

I had results very similar to this (posted about it in the pill testing forum) and then found what appears to be the same pill at ecstasydata (same geographic area, same weight, timeframe, looked identitical) which didn't have speed, but did have ephedrine...


I think that it's possible for ephedrine to give a false brown or "speed-like substance" positive.

I haven't consumed it, so I really don't know how speedy it is, or whether I'd even be able to tell.

I think you're right. I'm no chemist but think Ephedrine is chemically/structurally very close to Amphetamines and hey they have the same effect ... The Brown with Marquis would certainly indicate Speed like substance in my limited opinion and of-course remembering Marquis is far from definitive. I would drop that one out of curiosity but if I was in the States/Oz at US$20 a pop etc then I'd hand it back to my dealer and say "Pish pill"

Unfortunately there is no way to know without a full analysis www.ecstacydata.org and that will cost you the pill plus $30 co-pay.

I'd take a stab in the dark and say it's a mix of a speed like substance and a MDxx substance but there is no way to be sure or indeed define quantity/ratio. The irony is that it could turn out to be mostly bunk [unlikely] or a fuckin' cool ass MDxx pill [or indeed anywhere in between].

Here in the UK we pay $1.50 - $4.50 a pill so getting a shit one isn't an issue. If you bought in bulk at $12 a pop I'd be concerned otherwise I'd just drop the beast and see what happens or if you feel it's not worth the risk or have some way to return the pill then by all means do so.
