So I have had an opiate problem for a while. Well, 2 days ago was my last oxy dose. Then yesterday at lunch time, I took 2 mg of suboxone, and felt great. It took away my withdrawals. Well...I didnt take any today when I woke up because I felt decent, and I wanted to try to make my subs last as long as possible. Well..a couple hours ago I started feeling some withdrawals coming back. I caved and got 2 30mg oxy pills and snorted them. But..I dont really feel the effects, and actually still feel minor withdrawals. So my question is...do you think thhe sub was still working and blocked the oxy?? Am I still where I left off?....or will I be starting back at the beginning of withdrawals??

The subs blocked the oxy. Meaning the oxy was essentially ineffective and did not bind. You would still want to wait as long as possible before taking more subs but I don't think you'd be back at square one.

I don't see how you could have enough buprenorphine still active to block the oxy but not curb the withdrawals. How does 60mg of oxy compare to your normal doses?

You were only in withdrawal for what, a day before taking the sub? You haven't even really started it! The sub PREVENTS you from withdrawing so you won't withdraw while you're on it, you can taper it and mitigate the withdrawals substantially overall but it isn't like you can take sub for 4-5 days stop and not have withdrawals.

Cane is correct, I would just say that Suboxone reduces withdrawal symptoms more than it does "prevent" withdrawal, but the idea Cane was getting across is correct.
