I live in PA, and on the 9th, was written a prescription for 2 8mg films per day for two weeks, so 28 films. This prescription requires a prior authorization, and they are quite expensive to purchase out of pocket, so as of today, the 28th, I have only taken two out of the pharmacy, which leaves me with 26. It's been a hassle to get this authorization, but between the insurance company and the doctor's office, they assure me it will go through tomorrow. TEN days later! My next appointment is on Monday, the 23rd. Seeing as I will have just gotten 26 strips (a 13 day supply) out four days prior to my next appointment (and new prescription of 28-30), will my insurance allow me to fill them both so closely together??

If it's a new prescription, yes. If it is a refill, no. Or at least thats how my insurance works. I recall trying to figure out the right pregabalin dose to take, so i had just filled a pregabalin 50mg script 10 days prior, and then was written a pregabalin 75mg script and they accepted it.
