Question about sending pills into ecstasydata.org

I was thinking about sending a pill into ecstasydata.org to have it lab tested but I had a few questions first.

Since its in America how am I supposed to post it from here in Australia?
I mean if I put a single pill in a letter wont it get scanned and picked up?

And also what about the currency thing?
They want $40 but in their dollar so would I need to goto a bank and get $40 in American cash?

where it says "send a sample for testing" under the "learn more" link, it says this:

Answer: Sort of. The lab ONLY accepts US currency or US-current money orders. For submitters outside the US, Erowid can accept payment through our website, but there is no streamlined system for this and you will have to email us to ask how this works. If you pay via the Erowid site, this is much less anonymous.

so i guess if you don't want to get $40 (give or take a little - i can't keep up) this is the option you'd want to take.
as for the legality of sending drugs in the post - i guess it's up to you to decide for yourself, but i imagine that most of the legal risk is on the receiver of the item; in this case the folks at ecstasydata.org - but the risk would depend on how you package and send the pill, i guess.
you might wish to discuss it with them.

you might want to have a read before you decide if you want to send them something to analyse, especially if you're concerned about the implications of sending drugs through the mail system.
while i would certainly encourage people to have their drugs tested in whatever way possible - for their sake and that of other users - it really has to be a decision you come to on your own. if you're concerned, i advise you read more - especially on the site in question.
they give pretty comprehensive answers to everything you're asking here.

Just an FYI on how to package (both excerpts are directly from their website)

I'm sending my sample from Canada / Britain and I'm worried about it being stopped by customs. Answer: We receive samples each month from outside the United States and in 11 years of running this testing program, no one has reported that a sample was seized by customs. You can identify the contents of your mail as "analytical sample" or "lab sample" and use thin bubble wrap to keep the package as thin as possible. Thin envelopes are less subject to inspection than packages. Note that samples coming from Canada seem to take longer than anywhere else, we believe Canadian postal customs are very slow, so add a week (or two weeks near holidays) to the amount of time you expect it to take to get to the lab.

Why is the testing so expensive? Answer: Unfortunately, $120 is actually cheap for doing this type of testing . Our lab and others like it now charge $200 or more for GC/MS analysis. The lab has recently increased the cost to Erowid to $140 because of the decreasing value of the US Dollar / inflation.

the price is $40 dude for pressed pills., check there site properly.. its $120, if you are testing pharmaceuticals, capsules or substances of powder form.

great idea to send the beans thru mate, always an interesting read to see the contents, just pretty sad of the aussie government to not have something like this open for us to use. id be happy to pay $100 a go, most wouldnt, but most arent generally all that fussed on there safety.

Ok il do my best to give you the steps i follow to get pills to edata.com

First up pricing:

It is $40us for a pill or $120us for a capsule or powder or different substance.
So in order to pay this i go to the bank or money exchange at the airport to collect my US$ cash. Usaully two $20us dollar bills as i send tablets not powder.

The way i package my pill is to get a nice thick magazine and cut it in half so its not so tall (cut to envelope size) and open say 6 pages from each end fold right back out of the way.
Now the thickest part of magazine i cut a hole in just big enough for the pill to sit in.
I wrap the pill in a tiny bit of plastic cling wrap and place in the hole i just cut.
Now place a small piece of tape over each side of the hole to stop the pill falling out.
Now if you close the magazine up you should not be able to feel the pill in the center because of the cover being thicker and the other 6 pages you originally folded back. And the pill being recessed in the hole.
Now if you put it in a document only envelope (bigger than normal but smaller than A4 rather than a parcel envelope it atracts less attention.

And just put the info they require on a piece of paper (what substance it was sold as, where it is from ect ect) and the correct US$ dollar amount in the envelope too.

Also use a proper adress not for example john smith 1234 fake st or something silly. I use a real name of someone i dont like and a adress of a vacant house block that does exist.

It does take a while usaully 2-3weeks.

You can use the contact support at edata and speak to Earthe who will chase it up and contact DDM and see if mail arrived.

People send massive amounts of drugs in the post all the time, and they very rarely get seized, the only times they get seized is when they are hidden in stupid things. if its in a letter, bulked up in card like a xmas/ birthday card it will get through 9 times out of 10.

and to be honest, never do anything with americans because they will come and arrest you and stick you in their prisons because all american feds are cunts
