Question about Ritalin

Well my doc has me on 2mg xanax 3 times a day, zoloft, risperdal (for bipolar) and now hes trying me on ritalin ... the pharmacist told me its a stimulant and can be easily addictive... Can anyone tell me how? I heard of ppl getting high of adderall, but ritalin???

2. i'm getting the feeling from your posts that you're pretty young, you dont need to develop a stimulant habit yet.
3. ritalin works similar to adderall, it just doesnt bind as well to receptors as adderall so its a bit weaker. if you wanted to use it to get high you could eat it, snort it, or plug it...but I'm not sure if its a fantastic idea to be taking alot of stimulants on zoloft. seems like that could get a bit uncomfortable.
 
oh word, sorry, for some reason i thought you were younger than that.

but yeah, its possible to get high on ritalin, i should have mentioned though that most people don't find it that great. it doesnt approach the feeling of coke or even adderall, but i guess it does feel like a watered down version of either of those.
 
Crush it up and sniff it. It doesent have a jones like coke, and the crash is nothing compared to adderall (im talking big binge). I used to get so high off my script that I would have to turn the lights off and sit in the dark to try and come down a bit.
 
It's a Cll stimulant for a reason.

Beware that Risperidone can "antagonise the effects of Levodopa and dopamine agonists" meaning that it blocks Ritalins effects depending on Risperidones dosage.

But according to this early advert it "counteracts oversedation from Thorazine, barbiturates, antihistamines", and benzos too

Sometimes people with ADD and bipolar use both succesfully, higher doses of APs block the D1 D2 receptors more fully and negate the full effects of stimulants, but a stimulant can be usefull for sedation.
There use to be pills which mixed both:
-Thoradex, Trorazine@Dex
-Appertrol, Dex and Compazine and others
 
You can freebase ritty with tin foil and a straw after crushing it up and adding a little bit of baking soda. If you have the tablets, as I did, then soak the tablets in water for an hour and a half. After that they should be just soft enough on the outside to split through the annoying waxy coating(I split them by biting them in half, I supppose you could use a knife or somethin, and if theyre not soft enough try soaking them a bit longer and try again). Without soaking them beforehand, the tablets are a serious pain in the arse. Oh, and you should probably remove the greyish/greenish portion, that part isn't important. What you want is the white part and yellowish part of the inside.

I would advise you not start out using more than twice the dose you were prescribed, although even twice the amount might be pushing it. Be careful.

Yeah, its for ADD. My doc "thinks" I might have ADD instead of bipolar disorder, but now hes realizing i might have both.. who knows. I see him once a week and hes got me on 2mg of xanax 3 times a day, risperdal (for bipolar) which hes switching me on something different soon, and ritalin (5mg twice a day)
 
interesting. why would he trust you with 6mg a xanax a day (that's not even a matter of trust, you are just getting fucked over there) but he is off-label scripting you kid drugs (i do not mean "kid" as in weak, i mean "kid" as in i do not even think ritilan is FDA approved for adult ADDHD). also, if that xanax is for anxiety, stimulants and anxiety usually do not go well together in the long term.

Yes, my xanax is for anxiety... I have it bad & can't really leave the house without it, or even talk to people I don't know, or I'll start panicking and need to be alone.

Although I doubt stimulants are approved for this kind of use, I have bad anxiety and find that stimulants I have used (cocaine, meth, amphetamine, ritalin) made me more confident rather then more anxious.
