Hi,
I'm currently on 75mg/day of Venlafaxine (Effexor) regular release (37.5mg twice a day), which is the lowest effective dose. As much as I hate having to be on any type of medication, Effexor has really done wonders for my anxiety and depression; pulled me out of a deep hole, come as close to "curing" it as I can imagine, and I have little to no side effects from it. I've tried to come off of it several times, and each time the anxiety comes back within a month or two.
One of its downsides is that when it comes to recreational RC's, as most of you probably know, antidepressants tend to block or greatly reduce feelings of euphoria/empathy. I've been a big fan of stimulants ever since I tried Adderall for the first time, as it seems to consistently give me a huge mood lift and feelings of empathy, but unfortunately that is a tough drug to get without a prescription, which I don't have.
I've been experimenting with 2-fma lately, and although the first time I used it (60mg oral) I experienced a very similar effect as Adderall (prominent mood boost and empathy), and although I use it very infrequently, it doesn't seem to give me those feelings anymore, at least not to a very noticeable extent (maybe a mood boost for a half hour or so), and acts mostly as a simple stimulant; leaves a lot to be desired for me.
I've only tried 4-fa once or twice, which is supposedly a bit more euphoric/empathatic than 2-fma, and it hasn't produced those feelings at all for me (though both times I've tried it there were other substances involved).
So my questions are:
1) Why is it that Adderall gives me the results I'm looking for while these other substituted amphetamines do not, and
2) Does anyone have any recommendations on a stimulant RC that will produce empathatic/euphoric feelings while the user is on an SSRI? Or, a substance that could be used in addition to the stimulant to help these achieve these results?
Would any of the other substituted amphetamines be worth trying?
I'm mostly only looking to use this substance a few times a week to give me a mood boost and energy at work.
Any input is appreciated,
Thanks!
