So far as I've heard there is no way to test for Psylocibin with the exception of a blood toxicity screen via a blood test. Is this true? or is this just something stupid that I heard from a friend of a friend? By the way, this is purely out of curiosity, I haven't had any reason to take a drug test for almost 2 years now and I am not trying to find a loophole to any system, just curious about the drug itself and the possibilities to detect it.

No, it is detectable by GC/MS at 1 microgram per milliliter with a controlled reference standard to compare it with. It will never show up on the presumptive 6-panel paper test that most people call "urinalysis".

Perhaps I took his question too literally, forgot to include the part about it not being a part of the standard test, and was too busy finding a source confirming it's detectability heh.
