Hola everyone. I have been a chronic pain patient for about 6 years. Oxycodone (percs) was what I was always given. I went from 90 10/325 to 90/325 plus 40 mg oc's.X 2. Did that for about a year till I could no longer afford the oc's and they changed the formula.
So now I have a really good PM DR. and he just kept me on the percs 10/325 x 4 with nothing for breakthrough.
About a month ago they put me on 25mcg fentanyl with 2 percs a day or 2 weeks. I did not like it but I decided to give it another two weeks. Oh hell no.
The fent had me in such a fog (not high) I was unable to function and even eat for a week. This pisses me off because the fent actually controlled my pain, it was amazing xcept for the side effects.
Yesterday he switched me off the percs to 50 mg Demerol x 4. Okay fine and dandy.
I get home from Dr + rx run around 8:30 am. I take the demerol, take another and go to sleep. This is the kicker...when I woke up a couple hours later I was in the throws of I am assuming oxycocone WD. I called them and they said don't take the percs and I asked if I could double up on the clonopin as I explained my PC Dr. let's me because of severe ptsd.
Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Now I am going to run out of my benzo's . I ran out last month a week early not thinking any harm would come and my doc was minutes away from putting me in hospital. My BP was sky high with a 155 pulse. Lucky for me when they checked me again they let me leave. Thank god that was my regular appt day and the day I could get my clonopin.
Does anyone have any advise for me.
