Question about Opana

I'll try to make this short, but I do have a few questions.

Background: I have an interview coming up with a factory job in a couple of months. This means, I have about 3 months to taper down on my heavy Opana habit. I always snort my Opana, and I probably rail about 40-60mg a day. My habit started a year ago when I was involved in a bad car accident. I have 4 ruptured disks in my neck, 3 herniated disks in my upper back and 2 more ruptures in my middle back. Soon, I was addicted to this wonderful, glorious painkiller. My tolerance is sky high. I can snort upwards of 100mg at one time and still function perfectly fine. Anyway, part of the hiring process is passing a urine test. The cutoff is 2,000 nanograms per milliliter for opiates. I don't understand much about that, but I'm a smart person and well-educated so if someone explained that a little I would appreciate it.

Now for my questions:

1) how long does opana stay in the urine when snorted? Keep in mind I've been using 40-60mg daily for about 6 months.

2) what is the best and quickest way to taper down and eventually take a break from my habit? I hate withdrawals, and if you've ever been through Opana WD you understand why. NOT fun.

3) how can I tell myself to ONLY use my pan when I absolutely NEED it? If anyone else has ever been addicted to Opana, you will know how hard it is to fight the cravings. I do a line, and an hour or two later I want another...

4) any words of encouragement/last tips to give me?

Thanks to anyone who listened!

In the urine its about 6 days or so before there's nothing left in there and as for the how to keep yourself from doing it all the time well there are some ways besides self control. There are opiate potentiaters such as DXM and cannabis (studies show pain patients can lower their dose by half by incorporating cannabis with their opiates. The other way is to pop some pills and snort the rest mabye Like a half n half thing so you got the rush then the one you eat lasts longer.

I'm not sure how you would calculate how much opiates will be in your system cause there ate so many factors involved such as how fast your body processes drugs.

Its gonna be next to impossible to taper and control your opanas cause well if you could control your use then you wouldn't be in the position you are in needing to quit cause your getting hooked to them. Usually you need to a switch to a longer acting opiate with no eyohoria to minimise withdrawls and lower your tolerance/detox completely.

I'm assuming you don't have a prescription for Opana? I would think you had one after that accident & if so, why can't you get a new job while on a script.......

As for an Opana addiction, good luck.......I know someone that had an addiction to it & they said it was worse than any other pain med prescribed to them.

I tried it once but its way too strong for me & don't plan on using it, at least not for quite a while.

Good luck........I would say most opiates show up in your urine within 7 days after you stop using. Like mentioned above, it really depends on a persons metabolism rate.......

Fast metabolism should get the meds out of your system faster........I know you won't like morphine, but if you can get it, you can taper down with it & doesn't have the euphoria Opana does.

Thank you. No I have no prescription. I am 21 years old with bad insurance so many doctors are wary of prescribing opiates to me just because of my age. It sucks. Many doctors think I'm a drug seeker but I'm in legitimate pain. My age and area I live in make everything difficult for me...I'm going to begin my taper tomorrow so wish me luck
