I called the guy that I used to get Opanas from before they changed to see if he was getting the new generics and he hadn't heard anything about them. Then, he went today to refill his scrip and the pharmacist told him that no generics existed for 40mg ER Opana! Not only that, but he thinks they may have flagged him for asking!

Are these definitely available in the U.S. and if so, why don't the pharmacists know about them??

My friend just got a script for those and they aren't really even abusable if you have an opiate tolorance. They can't dissolve in your nose so you can't snort them, and they get stringy and gummy and weird if you try to melt them on foil or a spoon. They suck.

Really?? I've been reading in numerous places that they are every bit as good as the original recipe brand names. :(

i havent tried them, but i can tell you for sure they are available in US, west coast I've seen them.

if they are round orange and say g74 on one side they are crushable and contain absolutely no type of gelling filler. From what I am told they were put into circulation a couple months ago and quickly taken off the market (legal market) due to a extreme high case of overdosing by people abusing the pill. What I heard might be false information, but I know for a fact that the round orange pills with g74 imprinted on one side is indeed a generic 40mg oxymorphone aka Opana and they breakup and crush just like the original 40mg "Stop Sign" opanas.

i just found an opana, I have been trying to get off roxys and this is like an early hanukkah present for me. Should I snort it all or break it into half. I usually lick the coating off? Please advise this could be the last opana i ever see.

I've been on opana a long time.

As someone mentioned, the G/oranges are the generic version of the 40's. The other plastic/non crush are yellow. I was on the yellow version for about 6 months.

I really like the oranges, but I don't do the entire pill at once.

My daily, normal rx use would be 10mg crushables and the 40 for breakthrough at night.

Yes, all true except I still get them every month from my pharmacy and have for the past almost a year. The originals were a little better to snort since they seemed to have less stuff that turns gooeyish. The new generics turn into powder when crushed but can get a little gooey in your nose if it's not up there really good. I too never take more than a 1/4 pill at a time with an occasional 1/2 here and there. They seem to work well for me and my PM.
