Question about nasal insufflation and the lungs

Hello everyone

I have a batch of mxe coming and back before the ban in UK I used to snort it. I am planning on doing this again. I would like to have a discussion about powder being able to reach the lungs when snorted. Is this something one should worry about, or is it unrealistic that this should do any damage? I am not a particularly heavy user of mxe and mostly I take small doses. What about other drugs? Are some particularly hard on the lungs when insufflated nasally?

Also what about respitory depression? Is this something mxe is likely to cause, or is it only with opioids? I ask because I remember having not been able to "feel" my breathing when on mxe. Could be because of being numb, I guess.

I personally don't have any experience with mxe. Many years ago, I admitted to my pulmonary doc that I snorted OxyContin. Aside from the crazy look I got, he told me how bad it was for the lungs (snorting pills). I recall him saying that the talc in the pills along with other fillers were so bad for the lungs. He really emphasized the talc though. I used to snort heroin and although I don't have any empirical evidence, it certainly messed up my lungs. It's all par for the course.

Wasn't there a form of silicates oxymorphone designed to give you asbestos-style mesothelioma form if you snorted it? I think you are fine with normal pills. You can sometimes cough up the powder's colour immediately after snorting if you sniff to hard but I wouldn't be worried.

I know you eventually get pulmonary talcosis from injecting pills without micron filtering but I doubt snorting would do it.

Only drug that I have felt hitted the lungs was 5-it, damn it did go straight to the lungs. U be fine snorting mxe, have snorted loads of it, different batches etc, never had any problem there
