Question about my xanax prescription

i have been taking 3 mg + for over 2 months now. my script was originally 3 mg a day, now its been reduced to 2mg a day. I think i may have abused them to often and now my tolerance seems to need around 3mg at once to calm me down, i took 6 mg tonight just because i have been fucking sick of how ive been feeling and wanted to feel the xanax effect again.

Without getting to into myself, i have borderline personality disorder, my anxiety is all day, combined with ocd i have intrusive thoughts without the medicine.

I know i need to stop taking xanax soon, but i dont feel that im ready start tapering down, considering the higher dose worked alot better , ( not 6mg but 3mg or 4mg was perfect for me)


can i get away with another month and request a higher dose? or has it been too long for the doctor to go for it ?

Talk to your doctor about trying pregabalin and what path he wants to take with your alprazolam prescriptions; you should taper accordingly with his advice. I would request the higher dose and be honest with him.
