Question about methadone and oxycodone

Hey, I'm on 70mg of ' done and I ran into 3mg of klonopins and 100mg of oxycodone. I was wondering how long would I have to wait before I would feel something from the oxys. Even if I planned on IVng them. hoping that they would be the same or somewhat stronger than the done. And I can always take dyphenhydramine to boost things up.

I'd wait at least about 24 hours, otherwise you risk going into precipitated withdrawals.

I am on 140 of 'done a day and use heroin sometimes still usually 12-24 hrs after dosing. I still get high and have no issues with withdrawals.

Precipitated withdrawals wouldn't be an issue would they? As they are caused by taking buprenorphine/Suboxone/Subutex while you still have other opioids in your system, said opioids being kicked off your receptors by the buprenorphine and this sending you into WDs as it is only a partial not a full agonist..

nAON's right though, you want to wait 24 hours (some people can get away with less clearly but it is variable) - otherwise the effects are going to be significantly dulled, plus taking a strong opioid on top of methadone can be dangerous.

Be careful mixing benzos in there - combining CNS depressants can be dangerous, go steady. Also I would think carefully about this if you have been stable on methadone for a while, last thing you want to do is mess up your maintenance programme..

Yeah, i'm on 70MG now. I got a hold of 5 20mg oxycodone this weekend, and i had some 1mg ativans lying around. so i was bored, so i decided to go get some rigs and did a shot of 40mg of oxy and 1mg of lorazepam. I haven't done the 'done in a day, so i guess i should've waited more because i feel like i got more out of the ativan than the oxy. But it's nothing to txt about. Maybe if i went 5 days without the 'done, then it might be a diff story. and i also had a atarax for an antihistamine/sedative effect. I'm not bored anymore. I'm saving those oxys for a rainy day. Till i get more things for a rainy day.

As effie stated - PW's aren't an issue with methadone as it doesn't block opioids reaching the receptor like Buprenorphine does - it just has a stronger binding affinity than most other drugs in the same class.

Methadone has a VERY long half-life, which is why it caused you to not feel the oxycodone so much. That and 40mg isn't very much in comparison to 70mg of methadone.

Yeah, I should've just saved it till today. I have 60mg left, and 2mg left of lorazepam. also some hydroxyzine.

All I can tell from experience is that benzos potentiate any opiates, however; I haven't tried them wit m-dones as I'm currently on sub films....
