Stimulants Question about meth pipe 'fog'

So, Im sitting with a couple of friends, shooting the breeze about the latest bit. We've been discussing the presence of spots in the fog that appear denser than the surrounding area. They appear sooner, and melt into droplets.

I have to think this indicates impurity, but I don't really know beyond that. Any info?

This question has been covered in this thread here, in which LittlePenguin asserted that the leopard-spots, or polka dots/spots, are due to a nasty cut in the meth.

it's called 'leopard dope.' it's crap. cut. no bueno.
