Heroin Question about law enforcement efforts regarding opiates??

Not sure if this topic is allowed or not, but I was just watching the local news and apparently a nearby city has a big Heroin task force, and they made a huge bust last week, they said they arrested 15 people, but did not mention any names, or show pics, they also said they were looking for 55 other people! Im kind curious why they did not give any names, usually they do...?

This got me wondering what kind of tactics law enf. use to catch people buying or selling...Are they able to 'tap' someones cell number and monitor texts and calls? Im pretty sure they cannot do this, but not 10% sure.

In the USA, 100% they CAN do this, with a warrant, which only requires probable cause.

That is scary!

Thankfully, my connection has a fool proof method of completing the deal, in the past they used to meet people in local shopping center or gas station parking lots, but had a couple close calls, and now has a much better way of doing it.

I can post this method if Im allowed (not sure). I figure it can help someone else, its OK.

Selling controlled substances is illegal in the US. There's no "fool proof" method around this. If cops want to prosecute you, they will find a way.
