Bupe question about IV suboxone

So this morning i had loaded a rig with some suboxone but decided to finish the roxie that i had (which wasnt much, like 1/4 of one, compared to my tolerance) anyway im not in any withdrawal at the moment like i was yesterday but i was curious if it would be ok if i had shot the suboxone thats been sitting in the rig all day?
 
if you have any oxy in your system at all the suboxone will boot it out and put you into w/d

edit: especially IV
 
yeah dude IV sub precipated withdrawals is pretty fucking terrible.. you feel it instanstly too..

If i were u i would take .5mgs of sub when you think your "rdy" wait 20 mins if you didnt go into prescips you should be ok to take more...

the least amount of time ive waited to take sub after oxy is probably 12 hours and i have SUPER fast metabolism.. still 12 hrs isnt long enough for most ppl
 
ive been taking subs on and off long enough i know when its safe to use them. no way do i want precip w/d im just nervous about shooting the solution that has been sitting in there all day
 
I've done it before. In fact, I have a rig filled with 0.5mg of sub in it right now. Decided to pick up some dope instead. I plan on shooting it tomorrow morning, and I've never had any trouble with this before.

It's when you leave it for days/weeks when you get bacteria problems
 
Be very careful. I can orally take a suboxone (8mg) between 5-9 hours after a dose depending on what opiate. One time I shot 8mg 4 hours after eating two 30mg roxicodones, which is basically very little opiate for me. I went through 30 minutes of hell. I was going to die and I was screaming and crying and screaming and crying on the ground like a little bitch, with all my muscles spasming, and my anus ejecting what it could... it was horrible. Be careful.
 
i just was nervous about the solution. i did like 7.5 mg oxy when i usually do between 100-600 (big range i know) just depends on my wallet lol. i did the oxy at like 10 am IV. by now i should be fine to take sub. id just hate falling asleep and waking up in full blown w/d in the middle of the night
 
yeah so i waited til this morning and did the suboxone (about .5 mg) at 10-11am. then around 130 i got sick and threw up and went back to my bed and was shaking profusely with chills but it didnt feel like PWD.. it felt more like cotton fever i suppose. but before i IV'd the suboxone, because i saw some particles in the solution (prepped at 1030am yesterday), i refiltered and then i IV'd it. right now i have a horrible headache, ive been nausious on and off all day starting like 115, i have some pain around my leg and hip (kind of like rls), have had fever, and going between chills and shaking non stop, to having sweats like no other.
i had just IV'd about another .5mg of suboxone and feel a little better but im still uncomfortable. because the onset of symptoms started about 2/3 hrs after injection do you think this could possibly be cotton fever or could it be something unrelated to the injection?
 
It sounds like textbook opiate withdrawal.

My last rehab stint, the doctors refused to give me suboxone until 24 hours after my last use because, like others have said, it would immediately put me into awful withdrawals. So, I just got tons of clonidine, anti-diarrheal, and robaxcin the first day.....

A nice long shower helps..... I have learned in this forum that loperamide, found in many anti-diarrheals, helps with opiate WD because it is an opiate but does not cross the blood brain barrier, i.e. will not give you a buzz.

It's probably not PWD as it took an hour and a half before it hit you, though it could be. The chances are that by leaving the shot in solution for 24 hours some bacteria grew in it and you are suffering from septicemia or sepsis.

It's not particularly safe. The longer you leave it the worse it can get but any amount of time is bad.

This is dangerous advice. The chances are that not much bacteria will grow in 24 hours but some will and depending how toxic it is it can make you sick. Just because you haven't had trouble before doesn't mean you should recommend it to others. Even drinking bottle water (i.e. not tap which has preservatives) that has been sitting out for a day isn't recommended never mind shooting it into your veins.
 
yeah i didnt think it was so safe which is why before i used the solution i had refiltered it. so i'm assuming it was either from bacteria or it could have been cotton fever because the chills i had right after i had thrown up felt like it was cotton fever and the headache i've had all day felt like it too, but i had never thrown up from cotton fever. i still have sweats and a headache and my legs are bothering me but the nausea went away now after doing the .5mg so i dont know really what i should do. maybe i need a bit more to feel alright? but i dont want to waste it because i only have 2mg left and then im all out. i also am nodding a little bit from the suboxone. i hate these complications from injecting!
 
Cotton fever is caused by toxins from bacteria on the cotton so bacteria in you shot would have a very similar response to cotton fever and can practically be treated and viewed as the same in this case.
 
yeah i know. ive taken bupe many times. i know im in w/ds i just dont understand why im nodding and yet im still covered head to toe in sweat
 
I don't think you are in withdrawals. You have taken enough bupe long enough ago that you are fine (i.e. nodding). I think you are suffering from bacterial poisoning and your immune system is in high gear fighting it off.
 
yeah so im assuming thats what caused the symptoms i had. i just wish my sweats would go away. my house manager gave me something for the nausea which has been helping and i took some excedrin tension headache but my head is still hurting right now as well as my legs. i just want this all to end!
 
i dont have any in the house unfortunately (im in a halfway house)

@amapola you are right. its unrelated to withdrawal. i guess its my addict mind thinking i need more bupe because of the way i feel. slowly i feel better.

shit i shoulda just taken the bupe as directed and i could have avoided all this crap =/ sucks
